Had gas turned off at a rental property in between tenants. Delta said it would take them a week to schedule to come turn it back on.

What happened with Schmidt?

Woke up to see he didn’t get the start? Late scratch? Jay playing games or injury?

Basketball Player Eligibility Date?

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 5/19/26 at 5:49 pm
Any insight to when we’ll hear the status of eligibility for some of these guys that we are signing? I’m pumped, but a little concerned with the “what if” these players aren’t eligible.

Luis, Santos, Niang, and Dessert specifically.

I imagine this week has the potential to be very ugly, and full of buying opportunities

Any recommendations?

He was hired because of his attention to detail and his ability to coach hitting. He’s a winner. Nothing about that has changed. When we have pitchers that can spot the pitches (we didn’t get that done this season) we win,…..a lot. Coming off losing, likely, the best two pitchers in college baseball, we had a mountain to climb in that area.

This. It’ll be interesting to see what he does in regards to the pitching staff next year.

Yeskie is great but his methodology is difficult on young and unproven pitching. He pitches backwards and requires guys to throw any pitch in any count. I’d prefer to him try to pitch to more contact and accept getting hit rather than forcing guys to do something g they can’t necessarily do.

Any chance we see JJ move away from Yeskie?

Here's another nugget - this isn't the first year CJJ has employed the shift. So last year's success was an outlier?

I’d love to know the stat of how often he’s applied the shift in certain situations compared to last year.

It seems like Jay has tried to do more from the dugout this year compared to others. I have a feeling that’s due to lack of confidence in his defense and pitching staff.
I trust Jay has seen enough behind the scenes to know what he has in each player and he’s putting his best 9 on the field.
Anyone want to take a stab at trying to figure out who the 7-8 guys that we have locked up are?

Assuming the NCAA allows a 5th year, do those 5th year players have to be in your roster already? If not, will they be allowed to enter the portal after the ruling?

This is my question.
You at a minimum have to win 2 next weekend. If Sheerin helps you close out game 1 or 2, you burn him.

Id say yes, today is a must win for whatever that means. I have little hope with this team finishing strong thougb

Ole Miss 2022, I’m holding on to a touch of faith.

Is today a must win?

Sitting at 6-11 today, need to get to 14 wins for a lock. We have to win 8 of our next 13 to make the tournament. If we drop today’s game, that’s going 8-4 to finish the season. Winning today allows you to go 7-5, which oddly enough seems more attainable.

I think a W today is a necessity. Not sure we’ll be able to overcome a sweep this weekend.
They need to focus on scratching a game out today.

5* and number one point guard Dylan Mingo reopened his recruitment after decommitting from North Carolina. He is from NYC and a name to watch, Wade has ties there and think Damon Stoudemire would be key in his recruitment.

He has a brother that just transferred to Baylor, I look for Dylan to head there.

Short Leash on Pitchers

Posted by GeauxTime9 on 4/18/26 at 7:40 am
What’s the boards thoughts on Jay having such a short leash with the pitchers?

I was good with it early on to see who you could trust. At this point it seems like it isn’t allowing pitchers to get into a groove. I thought pulling Benge last night was bullshite.

I’d like to see them narrow down the arms to a group that we trust/depend on and let them go a bit further.
Today is the day, we’re getting one!
