Yes, my mayor informed me that somebody named Muttenstein is going to be arrested for making a bad Tigerdroppings post.

I know who my Mayor is, but it doesn't really matter. She's a figurehead.

The City Manager who runs the show in town and the County Judge are the two most important local officials.

Yes, dick faces, i do get political on a global basis.

Locally? Meh.

Who has time to sit through city or parish/county meetings to figure out how property and sales tax dollars are being spent? Or how drainage is being addressed?

The Trump/Newsom/Loomer/Olberman rage bait stuff is REALLY what matters.

Not personally but yes, voted for him in the initial race and the runoff. First Republican mayor in Charleston in 100 years. You're welcome.

The fact that he and his family have a long history here helped him get elected.

The greatest city in a proud red state should align.

I wouldn't say that, but it is for the most part about the only one that us peeblings typing on a message board have any chance in affecting ourselves.

He lives around the corner from me. Seems like a nice guy. All the white boomers didn't like the black mayor so they got their buddy to run. I thought the black mayor did a good job.

My mayor owned a brewery here, and then sold it to Urban South in New Orleans when he decided to run for office.

I can’t vote for Hammond mayor but I know mayor Pete pretty well. He’s a nice enough guy and most likely is not stealing from the taxpayers.

Yeah he is a nice enough guy. Knew from back in the Stray Cat days. As far as the other part I wouldn’t bet against it

Sadly, this is what 90% of Baton Rouge considers to be a qualification for becoming mayor.

Thankfully, that made him more qualified than Broome and apparently the father of the St George movement and professional politician, Bodi White!
