re: Do you change your own oil/ tires?

i change my own oil. got it down to about a 20 minute process, plus another 10 to pick up the oil and filter, so timing is similar to going to an oil change shop. it's maybe $10 cheaper to do it myself, but not having to sit through the wiper blade, air filter, cabin filter sales pitch makes it worth it for me.

Essentially nothing. Maybe a couple bucks, but you also look like a cheap dickhead and not every place will even use the oil you bring.

No. Why would I? I can get a full synthetic change and get my tires rotated for 50 bucks. I don't have to worry about disposal, and they top off all my other fluids.

I change the oil on my mower every few years, and if I could get someone to do that and it be as hassle free process as the cars, I would do it in a hear beat.

Who charges a disposal fee? I usually just bring it to AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc. and they point me to the tank in the back to pour it into.

I used to change my own oil until I realized I was saving maybe five bucks. I just take that shite in now.

If I blow a tire I will change it myself, that's about it on that aspect

Modern day car jacks that come with cars are such shite that there's no way I'd do either at this point.

They make it a pain in the arse enough to change ONE flat tire.

I'm not investing in a good jack just to do this.

Yes on the oil

It is far cheaper and I do it because it relaxes me. I ain't got no time to wait in line and let some high school kid over-tighten my oil filter.

Call me poor, I take pride in handling my own shite.
