Back a couple decades ago, this was the defacto masculine factor. These days, its almost impossible to find someone between ages 16-25 who knows how to do either. When did this change?

I used to when I owned my own truck. I have a company car, so I let the dealership handle it all now.

Nope. Could I? Yes. But if its less time and about the same cost someone else can do it.

I don't but its mainly a time factor. I still change my oil on all my mowers and equipment though.

I know how to do both.

I choose to pay someone else to do both.

I value my time more than the $10-15 dollar upcharge to change my oil. Could I? Yes, but it's not worth it to spend 30-45 minutes when I can pay $10 and it be done it 10.

Could I? Sure, but anymore it's ridiculously easy to get a dealership to throw in a free service contract when you buy.

Usually do it myself but am taking my car in tomorrow to have it done. I just don't feel like messing with it this weekend.

Changing a flat yes. Both my kids and wife know how to change a flat. We do have motorists assistance in the event that it may be needed.

I no longer change my oil because it is cheaper to let someone else do it. Plus disposal of the oil and filters is a pain in the arse nowadays.

45 minutes and then cleaning up afterwards/showering.

Instead, it takes 5 minutes on my lunch break and I never leave the AC of my vehicle. And I don't have to worry about it on weekends so I have more time to eat avocado toast and drink bottomless blood orange mimosas while bitching about my student loans.

Interesting. I've never thought about doing this. How much are you gouged by an oil change place for quarts of oil compared to if you bought it yourself and just paid them for the labor?

I'll change a flat but I don't usually change the oil unless I'm teaching a kid how.
