I'd much have a career woman than one that occupies their brain with dumb shite. In my opinion, women need real things to focus their minds on other than family.

Men do as well.

Some men just can't handle the pressure of keeping up and are intimated by an alpha female. I read your post as you aren't interested in being a co-equal in the relationship.

focusing their attention on younger, better looking women

Duh. This doesn’t work both ways, young women have no problem going for older and being happy

My wife worked early on in our marriage, but once the kids came, she became a 'stay at home mom'. At the time, I wasn't to sure about that, but now that I look back on it, it was one of the best decisions.

Hook them up! If they don’t end up having kids they can at least go on some cool trips. Love is in the air…

That's what I was thinking.

She is going to have to look down and that pisses her off and causes her to treat them badly and then they don't want her either.

I know some older couples (50's-70's) who married what would be considered below their looks, status, or job and they're some of the happiest couples you'll find.

It didn't used to be such a thing. You were more trying to find someone who matched your values and ideals and not some fairytale person that doesn't exist.

When I was single in my 30s, I learned very quickly that I did not want to marry or even date long term a career oriented woman. It seems good on paper to double your income, but the mindset of these is typically always in competition mode. They also seem to love stress and do everything they can to appear to hate trying to juggle too many things at once when in actuality they crave it and hearing about it is never ending. Also most of what they’re juggling are non critical issues, but they make it seem like the world will end if they don’t beat some obscure deadline.
This is so on point, I wish I could upvote it a thousand times.

Meh…I’ll die an old childless spinster. I’m ok with it. After a couple brutal heartbreaks, I gave up.

No good looking woman who likes sex and has money needs to worry about finding a husband if she really wants one.

100% - they could have their pick. Although caveat - they only have to pretend they like sex until the walk that aisle.

Your ego must be incredibly fragile and job prospects equally as soft.

this dovetails with my wife exactly. "I gotta get these plants re potted this weekend!" "these clothes MUST be washed today!" me: ummm, whyyyy?

my most common refrain: "..and what would happen if you don't do [insert random activity] by tonight?"

also, everything that happens that doesn't go the way you want isn't a crisis. that paint chip on the baseboard at your office? not a crisis.
