So you also believe Nikes rise in stock was due to the Kaepernick campaign?

Sure do. That was at the height of woke-ism, TDS was sweeping the nation, and so the timing was right. Social influences and the swinging of the nation's pendulum are as old as recorded history. The country is now seeing the results of pushing identity and victimizing everything under the sun, and so the pendulum is swinging back. To think these things don't affect investor confidence is unwise.

Yeah, 14 countries banned trash film Lightyear due to same sex kiss scene. Eastern countries still have their balls. The US? Not so much.

The US should really strive to be more like these countries Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and UAE.

I still have several shares and really only to flex my proxy voting power. When is the no-confidence vote on Bob Chapek anyway? The entire company is hemorrhaging money under that dickhead.

The Dow is down 15% during this time frame. Disney being down 50% is not within any deviation window I'm familiar with.

Instead of comparing to the Dow, wouldn’t comparing it to other Entertainment companies be more appropriate?

How does it compare to Netflix, Comcast, Paramount? I don’t know the answer. Just wondering.

Wokeness might not be the only reason the stock has crashed but it’s a factor…
Just look at the earnings of Lightyear…same sex kiss(wokeness) banned movie in several countries…big time movie with bad earnings equal lower stock price.

What a nutjob

9/2018
- Nike releases Kaepernick ad

HOWEVER

6/2018
quote:

Sales in Nike's home market rose 3% to $3.9 billion for the three months ended May 31,
an uptick after three straight quarters of declines.

quote:

Nike plans $15 billion share buyback

The revenue stream began well before the ad campaign, and the stock prices were manipulated by the preplanned buyback

And as for your claims that the ad campaigned increased stock prices?

LINK

In August 2018 Nike was selling at 58.67
By October 2018 Nike was selling at 52.00
The ad campaign ran in Sept

Are you serious??

Disney got woke in Fla and has doubled down on that, and their stock is in freefall

TSLA is the very defintion of woke. Go green!! Yet Elon Musk announced he will no longer be woke, and the woke have attacked him and his companies and his resources since. The TSLA chart shows that days after his announcement to reshape twitter, the stock went into freefall

So yes, announced political agendas crush a companies bottom line

Universal who also has a theme park division, plus movies and TV is up 4% year to date. So what does that tell you?

When you buy individual stocks, you can make higher profits, but you also face the risk of under-performance. That downside risk was realized by The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) shareholders over the last year, as the share price declined 47%. That falls noticeably short of the market decline of around 20%. Notably, shareholders had a tough run over the longer term, too, with a drop of 33% in the last three years.

quote:

While the broader market lost about 20% in the twelve months, Walt Disney shareholders did even worse, losing 47%. However, it could simply be that the share price has been impacted by broader market jitters. It might be worth keeping an eye on the fundamentals, in case there's a good opportunity. Unfortunately, last year's performance may indicate unresolved challenges, given that it was worse than the annualised loss of 1.7% over the last half decade. We realise that Baron Rothschild has said investors should "buy when there is blood on the streets", but we caution that investors should first be sure they are buying a high quality business

I stay away from social media for the most part. But it’s tempting to join twitter just to tweet things like “get woke go broke” to shitbag companies like Disney.
