Our luck is gonna run out and it's eventually going to be our turn.
My seperated wife has finally stopped dropping bombs on me and has been relatively calm and rational these last couple of weeks. We seem to have some pretty good agreement on custody and finances.
So of course a Cat 2-3 is going to drop on our heads now.

So decision time is Thursday for us in the NOLA area?
I don’t think there’s even anywhere to go
Our condo in gulf shores is a disaster and we’re not going west to lake Charles. Time to hold it down.

Take it from a hurricane Laura western eye wall alumni...that western wall can be a real MF’er.

FWIW, surviving a divorce is probably tougher than surviving a Cat 2-3 storm.

You are probably right, but both at the same time, I can do without.

I'm fine riding out a Cat 1-2 that has always been that way.
I'm less willing to ride out a Cat 4 that we hope will be a Cat 1-2 at landfall.
We rode out Issac in nola and that was good enough for me....

Yeah, for the surge prone areas you’re right. Her specific situation seems to be more wind prone though.

I would implore you NOT to ride out anything above a strong a cat 3... shite gets real when it hits the 4s

Andrew is basically the baseline for Delta on this current forecast. Very similar landfall, intensity, etc.
Not sure why you getting downvoted as this will be very similar scenario for terrebonne and lafourche. Cat 3 making landfall in Morgan city then tracking north East is a horrible scenario for that area. Was 12 years old when andrew hit and was living in Bourg LA. By far the worst storm I have experienced in my 40 years on this earth.
