When I told him he said no because it wasn't a state-designated evacuation hotel and I said but I am from Lake Charles too. He left and my conversation with the trooper carried on. How much you want to bet the owner/operator of that hotel is greased in and is getting rack rate for all the rooms plus damages?

So Red Cross is still paying for luxury hotel rooms and 3 meals a day for section 8 tenants and the reason is because Covid won’t allow for shelters, right?
So they have absolutely zero incentive to put their life back together until it’s puts back together for them by their landlords, who are essentially paid by the government (Us, taxpayers), correct?
Meanwhile, you’re paying full price for the same thing across the street.
