Saw this on another site. It's a great graphic for wind speed percentage chances.

Should see the NHC change movement to NNW for the 4:00 PM update. The earlier the turn to the NE the better for Lake Charles. Not wishing the storm on anyone but LC dos tbnees this one.

Do y’all know any places that position the storm relative to the mouths of the rivers along the coast?

If get a directional distance, bearing and speed from the mouth of one the rivers I can picture in my head better where the damn thing is and headed to.

Better yet if I can find a place that posits from two rivers.

Rio Grande,Brazos,Sabine,Mermentau,Atchafalaya or the Mississippi.

Thanks for the help

No you wouldn’t say that if it affected you directly like this crap in lake Charles. This is an epic kick in the nuts for the SWLA folks.

It is epic, no doubt about it. Few locales have ever had to go through two hurricanes I’d less than two months. I’m hoping it’s being exaggerated somewhat and the winds won’t be as intense as predicted as a weakening hurricane usually doesn’t deliver the same punch as an intensifying hurricane of equal wind speed does.

please be careful of the debris dude. hope everyone take that seriously

I'm taking it very seriously, sent my wife and kids away. We are lucky, our debris was picked up in our neighborhood here. So I should be fine.

I disagree but its a pointless “what if” debate. Fwiw i live in Lafayette and have spent the past month driving to LC helping in the recovery. Im intimately familiar with how bad it is there and i am
Angry at the lack of awareness of how bad it is.

Like someone said that theory only works in a vacuum. Can’t thank you enough for helping SWLA.. They need it because they’re not getting jack shite for help from the federal government.

Just download the kplc 7 news app. It has a radar with the track overlaid on it. You can zoom in as much as you want to find exact locations.

Haven't heard that yet. Have yet to get the call from the STPSB or my kid's principal.

With every school being setup for online learning now, it just makes their decisions to close easier. Why take the chance when you can keep them at home and not have to make up the day.
