i never thought i'd say this, but maybe LSU's NIL budget isn't as adequate as it seemed

Lane does more with less...

I found this "team talent" page on 247 sports. it basically sums up talent from each school - full roster. LSU as you would expect is very high... 5 or 6. Ole Miss was 21. interesting compliation.

he has nothing to do with why the saints are so terrible. in fact i applaud him for stepping into a crap situation.

Yea but he really needs to be recruiting and assembling a staff. Massive conflict of interest
Yeah, no idea what thats supposed to mean. Does he have an ophthalmology appt coming up?

this has been fun, and if we get LK....

there will be another round of fun when the portal opens. it will be fun watching/reading the chatter about who's entering portal. i think with LK, there is an excitement level we dont get with other highly qualified coaches out there.

the sky is the limit as long as our NIL budget remains competitive with Ohio St/bama/UGA/atm, Texas, etc.

it's no longer a "year 1" or "year 3" type of thing with an open portal. having said that, dont see how we get back in the top 5 right off the bat next season but will be markedly improved.

if we can get a qb that will stick around for a second season, then the year after this coming year I think we could already be right back in the mix at the top.
After alot of background, it said 60% LSU, 40% ole miss

Can someone ask jeeves or magic 8 ball to verify?

If hes making a move it seems to make the most sense to do it asap during a bye week. If these rumors are true im guessing he wants to tell his team first, then the officials news will break soon after
The host of AFR is getting unbearable to listen too.
haha... i remember that now. it feels like 3 years since that day :(

kiffin will probably be the hottest coach on everyone's wish list for a few years with what he's done at ole miss, and his middle age.

i can see him wanting to be at bama, but bama is not looking like they'll need a new coach. dont see him going to penn st. i think he likes the SEC. i could see clemson going after him, but i think he likes the SEC.

he's just as likely to stay put in oxford for a stretch, but if he were to move this year it would be LSU or Florida (neither of which have openings now).
Think its bad now? Wait until we get our 5th loss
i run around the lake pretty often. Unlike my time here as a student in the 90's, i can no longer run around the lake with the scent of weed coming out of cars driving by.

its not scientific obviously, but a very clear shift in culture.

I think it was around my 3rd year of college, circa 1996, when spurrier became the first ever head coach to make $1M per year: now the team is at $18 M.

I shutter to think of where these numbers will be in 2050

re: "Clemson has better receivers"

i dont think it'll be a matter of receiver talent, but more ability for qb and receivers to do their thing (OL check downs, audibles, etc)

the quality of the receivers are essentially maxed out
