I swear people just look at the centerline and of its not on their town they think they’ve escaped the storm. I have a ton of friends who do this every single time.
Most learn one way or the other. Some don't.
No one should scream "lack of notice" for a hurricane in the US in 2020.

Why does rob perillo stop his GRAF model Friday at 7am
It’s not a long range model than some others.

If you can’t understand that not everyone’s situations are the same, then I don’t know what to tell you

People in Baton Rouge aren’t leaving homes....it’s more about damages and power outages for BR.

Downed trees and widespread power outages don’t meet your definitions standard?
the morning before Laura's landfall when they showed 90+ in Alexandria is when I decided it was just better to go to my family in NOLA

GFY
You don’t know other people’s situation
There are a lot of reasons why people would need to evacuate & no one needs you acting better than if they do

For the most part, yes. But homeowners with the threat of trees falling on roofs/ infant and elderly folk who can’t manage w/out power for a week should be keeping an eye and be ready to pull trigger on escaping

I think he was obviously talking about his own situation...

I think the GRAF is a short range model only goes out 36 hrs
Baw, 7 AM Friday isn't even 36 hours from right now, let alone when Robby P started showing those graphics.

People would take gusts to 80.

I'm scheduled to go to a friend's wedding in cancun this weekend. It's at a resort on the island north of cancun. I'm wondering if the place will make it. Glad I took the full cash refund insurance.

You know there’s 24 hours in a day, huh?

I'm sure I'm missing some context here...

For me it’s really just about power. I work for a company that expects me to be online 50 hours a week during normal business hours unless I’m on vacation.
During covid none of us have been in the office for almost 7 months and I’ve spent a lot of time in Baton Rouge. However, if I end up offline for several days, that will not be a good sign for me. I’m a good employee but not that untouchable
So I’ll be back in Houston. It’s a toss up between Wednesday and Sunday, but I think Wednesday is a more conservative pick.
I’m just surprised my parents are okay with reliving Gustav. I know they hated it then, and now they are pushing 70 (albeit in very good health).

I’d love to have a camera on the wall of that bride’s room to see her bridezilla reaction to this hurricane. Also to see her undress.
