I mean I wouldn’t leave my brats millions but if they are worth a shite and good people then I’d rather they get it than some charity that will likely embezzle it.

He’s a lying, virtue signaling piece of crap. If he believes this, then why does he take millions for his roles? Who listens to these fake arse make believe people?

I love actors who pretend their job is that hard. Dad must've blown a few Harvey Weinsteins along the way.

This is the new virtue signal of the wealthy.
Right, they won’t inherit any wealth. There will just be trusts and foundations that will guarantee employment to the kids for a significant salary.
It’s a scheme.

That's his business. But I draw a line when Hollywood assholes like him start lecturing ME about leaving something to MY children.
Posted on 8/17/21 at 10:07 pm to DesScorp
So instead of leaving it to his own children he's gonna give it to someone else's children? Interesting.

That’s complete BS.
Why not want to help you kids be steps ahead of others?

Of course he will. It’s a scheme.

Won’t give the money to his own flesh and blood but will give it strangers.
Makes perfect sense.

People who think inheritence is distasteful crack me up.
If my parents pass at 90 years old, i inherit whatever they leave me at 68 years old. Just in time to break out the hookers and blow and really spoil myself rotten.
I dont expect anything from my parents. Because i want them to make it to 100. Im not racking up debt so i can pay it all off in my 70s. The envy that people have (and grandstanding that Daniels has) about inheritence is laughable

I'm glad someone here gets it.
ETA: And before anyone starts with the "sounds like you're a rich kid who inherited"
I did in fact inherit from my father. I inherited his funeral bills.
....well, and cat. But that cat is fricking awesome.

Why would you give your wealth to anyone but your offspring?
This kind of shite baffles me.

What’s the point in amassing wealth if you don’t leave it for your family?

Best gift you can give your kids is a strong work ethic, which is immediately sapped by a fortune they did not earn and therefore cannot appreciate. He's absolutely right.
Practically speaking, every parent wants to see their child succeed. The best way to do this is help them secure a good education in an in-demand field. Secondly, help them attain affordable housing so they can work towards achieving true independence from you and the banks.
