This includes several suicides of people who were fantastically wealthy but did not earn a dime.
I would submit that you are mistaking coincidence for causation. At least in a few of those cases. If they’re fricked up enough to commit suicide, they’re fricked up regardless of income level. Again, I believe the problem is the manner in which the children are raised or their individual unique nature that causes the issues. Not the inheritance they receive.
I can see setting up a trust or perhaps leaving the wealth to your kids in assets as opposed to cash. But not leaving them anything is pretty shitty. Unless they pissed you off to the point you felt such an act is necessary.

All of these rich folks doing this make me laugh, like Warren Buffett. Oh, your poor children won't inherit millions or billions.
They've lived a life of luxury, will have no debt, and will get jobs based on who they are, quite likely IN THE COMPANY their parents owned or worked for. These "kids" are or will be grown arse adults and likely retirement age before they'd collect anyway.
My brothers and I will inherit the farm, we already know the details. I also hope it's not for another 20 years, which means all 3 of us will be retired. It's not like we are going to inherit the land and get rich from it.
