Some people are still apparently too sadistic to understand.

I realized I seasoned my food by smell while cooking. It was a major problem.

I’ve only tested positive once and had zero symptoms. Only tested because my wife had it and I was supposed to go on a work trip back when everyone was losing their shite.

Never lost my smell or taste. Also a pure blood.

I never understood why this concept was news in the first place.

Any time I got a nasty cold it messed with my sense of taste and smell, and covid was the same.

I remember ketchup tasting funny for a while.

I got covid in '21. Lost taste and smell for a long time. Months. Now the only things i can't smell are high sulfur smells, haven't smelled a fart in 3 years now. So that's not bad

Not really. It didn't do shite to my sweet tooth.

Good luck, hope it fixes itself one day soon.

It is something I've just adapted to. I stay away from the stuff I know will be a problem. I can still taste salt and spice so it's not all lost. It's just weird.

So your girlfriend/wife can crop dust you without worrying about it now?

I have a niece that got Covid and lost her sense of taste/smell completely and has never come back. Been about 3 years

I don’t really think so. Between school and sports she’s super busy. Food just isn’t some kind of pleasure to her like it is to a lot of people. She likes to weird out her parents sometimes by like grabbing a jar of chili oil and a spoon and going to town

Not like with Covid. I wasn't congested when I had covid but the sense of taste was severely dampened.

Lost smell 2 years ago. Starting to get a hint of coffee, outdoor smoke and peanut butter. Never lost taste but certainly not the same. Aggravating for sure.

I don’t think I’ve gotten mine back fully and lost it in Sept ‘20. It’s subtle, family has made the comment that my cooking has been off. I’ve burnt a ton of bacon cooking it in oven. I used to do it by smell and have to use a timer now, that type of stuff.

I lost both a few years ago. Depressing is accurate, at least the loss of taste. Loss of smell was like a superpower. Taste came back after a few days thankfully. Even when my smell came back, things smell different.

To this day every fart and pile of shite smells the same to me no matter who or what produces it.

Yep. Couldn’t taste beer at all, and it started out in Napa area of California where I was able to go by the Russian River Brewery.

The first two times I had it, I couldn’t smell or taste for about 2-3 weeks. Last time I actually didn’t lose it at all.

It is a little disorienting when you feel OK and still can’t smell/taste. It’s especially problematic if you have small children or pets and you rely on smell to keep everyone sanitary

My wife currently has Covid. She says she couldn't smell yesterday but today is GTG. I don't know if it was true "loss of smell" or just a severely stopped up nose.
