I'm glad you followed your excellent medical advice up with the only logical/possible solution

This comment on Reddit is kinda sad :(

quote:

I live in the heart of the Lombardy region. All my family has it and my grand uncle died. People just stay home and that’s it. There is not much to do and shops are closed.

My uncle is in the hospital with a high fever. His wife got it as well but she is home as her symptoms are milder. My cousin is taking care of her and miraculously she is fine.

However her grandpa died and she couldn’t even go to visit him. Her grandma is sick as well and she can’t see her either and she can’t see her dad. Hospitals are closed.

The available hospital beds in intensive care have run out and doctors are making tough choices for who to try to save which is terrifying considering most of my family is old and they might not get a bed.

Doctors are overworked and tired and since I know many people that work in the hospital, they are sharing with me these gruesome pics of people recovered in the intensive care unit. They are intubated and it just is a sad view.

People keep saying it’s just a flu. Yes sure, but a flu without having had a vaccine can be quite dangerous. The youngest person I know that has it, he is in his forties and has had 40 degrees Celsius temperature for two weeks straight and counting.

Don’t catch it, it’s really not fun even if your immune system is strong, trust me on this, I have seen the repercussion on my family first hand.

No church is open or public event is held.

Since Italy is primarily populated by old people, we are used to see the streets being empty and everything being quite. Right now is just quieter.

They couldn’t even held the funeral for her grandpa.

My grandma woke up sick and I truly hope she has something else.

Thank you all for the well wishes. Hopefully my most immediate family won’t catch it.

What is "logical" then? If people can be asymptomatic like you bring up, that means at this point anyone could have it. I will say this virus is everywhere in america

So, how do we keep it away from elderly 100% without telling them not to hang around anyone and everyone. Remember, because you rolled your eyes at my suggestion of washing your hands and not hanging around elderly if you are sick.....

People like you are like the idiots who didn't evacuate the St. Bernard nursing home before Katrina.

Total idiots who cause unnecessary deaths.

Yeah I was reading that same Reddit thread. It’s pretty brutal in northern Italy.

As most are saying, the issue isn’t really the disease itself in a vacuum, but rather when it gets to the point where it starts to overrun hospitals.

I said weeks ago there would be containment/quarantine measures taken, that was called apocalyptic back then, today it’s reality.

I’ve consistently said it’s not the apocalypse and have discredited multiple Twitter hysteria stories.

Sorry I’m not the hysteria boogeyman you want me to be.

I really dont understand why some people cant get this through their thick fricking skull.

Its not like this is some new information, either. The amount of critical cases this potentially could bring has been known since the Wuhan outbreak, 2 months ago.

Ahhhhhh FINALLY

we finally get to the root of the issue. I had a good feeling it was the market. We are the scapegoat for a crashing market. Your market was overvalued with the largest bull run in history. Your judgement is clouded by your desire to see continued new highs. You must be new to the market chief. There’s up and downs

What do they say... Bulls make money, bears make money, and pigs (like you) get slaughtered.

The funny thing about that is the market currently disagrees with you. Without virus fears, it would still be rocking along and even with the virus fears it wants to keep moving forward overall. It will rebound when this blows over.

BTW, you are a virus outbreak expert and a market expert. Is there anything you can't do?

It seems like quarantining the people at the highest risk would be a heck of lot more logical than what’s going on. Of course that would require someone using their brain instead of their feelings.
