They are truly about to starve out the lower class workers. And I feel likely nobody is truly talking about it
I think his weight his a variable that won’t be ignored by medical experts, because with his weight, there is a good chance there was also blood pressure issues, blood sugar issues, lung performance etc etc

Now, in saying that, it doesn’t make his case any less sad

Also, in saying that, there will certainly be deaths of truly perfectly healthy people that are completely fit, it will happen. But it shouldn’t be something we let paralyze is with fear

That’s pretty much I guess all I have to say here
quote:

My point is your point is meaningless.
What exactly do you think my point is?

I made a simple factual statement that most people won’t get infected, and those healthy that do get infected would likely have a mild case

That’s it. Nothing is said should have caused any argument, but a select poster doesn’t know what the word most means
quote:

70 million people getting this virus over the span of a few months would collapse the healthcare system in America

Your Point?

I never argued against that
quote:

70 million = not a lot of people
dont move the goals post

Own the fact you are too dumb to know what “most” and “majority” means
quote:

You’re also the same guy who said the majority of people wouldn’t get this virus but then provided statistics saying 70 million citizens would likely contract it

Holy fricking shite

If 70million people get it, that means THE MAJORITY IN FACT DOESNT GET IT
quote:

I'm 5'7" 190, what am I going to do?

Unless you are an outlier who is very muscular, hopefully you will lose weight?
quote:

That’s still 70 million people dude Jesus Christ

That’s completely contradictory to your assumption that most people wouldn’t get the disease

Ok I’m done being nice

Are you a fricking idiot? If 70 million people get it, that means 260 million don’t

Do you know what “most wont get it means”?
quote:

Because you’re a normal person. BMI is outdated and people who actually look at health look at other things besides your weight. Obviously if the guy is 6’0 270 he’s not healthy but he could lose 50 pounds and be just as healthy if he lost 100.

You have absolutely no right to call anyone else an imbecile

BMI is still a great tool for the general public. And for almost all people besides statistical outliers, 6’0” 170 lbs is far healthier than 6’0” 220 lbs

For the following interactive, TIME picked five of Northeastern’s potential scenarios that most closely align with the growth of COVID-19 cases we’ve already seen in the U.S. These models vary from detection levels of about 40% of those who contract the illness (under the “High” scenario) to 25% (in the “Low” scenario).

quote:

Dr. Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court, said he expects 70 million to 150 million people in the U.S. will become infected with COVID-19, NBC News reported Wednesday.

How many more do I need. It’s pretty much a consensus across the board that even the high end infections are under 50%. You’d still want to call me an imbecile?
quote:

Simply not true. You don’t know his height and if that guy lost 100 pounds he probably would not be healthy. Skinnier isn’t healthier. Could he lose some weight? Absolutely but by your measure he needs liposuction

This is America’s problem
quote:

He has dad body, Coach O must be obese as well

He does in no way shape or form appear like Orgeron
quote:

love links but yeah you’ll just continue to spout this shite off as fact

Yku really need links showing the majority experts have the expected infection rate as less than 50%?
quote:

You also probably still use BMI to judge how healthy a person is

Well yes, as does the clinical designation of obesity

Please tell me you aren’t saying the guy pictured is one of the outliers where BMI doesn’t make sense. We don’t appear to be looking at a muscle bound athlete.
Morbidly obese is this

Normal BMI ranges from 20-25. An individual is considered morbidly obese if he or she is 100 pounds over his/her ideal body weight, has a BMI of 40 or more, or 35 or more and experiencing obesity-related health conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

I beleive he is right at that category. He is absolutely obese, and right at the line of clinical morbid obesity

He ideal body weight is around 175 lbs

I would guess he is very close to 270lba
quote:

Judging from his photo that guy is maybe 30 lbs overweight?
This is a problem that people actually think that’s a picture of someone only 30 lbs overweight

And to nynolaguys point, it shows how much of the state and nation actually is obese/overweight
quote:

And it’s totally your opinion. I’d love a link to a credible source that says otherwise. Literally any medical professional would disagree.

Pretty much every single medical expert has this at under a 50% infection rate

Not all, but almost all. So like I said, you likely won’t get it

quote:

You’re a complete imbecile
so ironic
quote:

What portion of Louisiana is healthy?

Not sure

Doesn’t change the fact if you are healthy you will likely have a mild case. You are proving a point that any positive fact, no matter how factual, has to be immediately response to with something negative to the and overshadow it
quote:

my point was meant to be facetious. that's the only way you can respond to people trying to play down this thing by arguing only fat and old people get it and it's their fault for being fat and/or old. and that's pretty much what you can reduce the shite y'all are saying to.

Your point is terrible

Fact is, most people won’t even get it. And if you do get it, you have an overwhelming good chance to have a mild sickness of you are healthy

That isn’t an opinion
