When it’s passively like he does absolutely. His legs are flaccid.
That older black cop should be running that department.

Part of the problem is they deal with so many scum bags all day long that when the non-scumbags are in front of them, they don't care. They simply assume everyone is a scumbag and they cannot separate or I guess refuse to believe that someone in custody is not a scumbag. It's terrifying if you are a normal person who finds themselves in a situation like this guy, who is totally innocent but a literal crack whore lied to get them there. And again, the cops see a lot, go through a lot and are just trying to not get shot or killed daily, but many are not wise, unfortunately.

"cross their leg". Wife had polio 77 years ago, paraplegic . and yes she can and frequently does cross her leg.

Every once in a while I’ll watch the cop shows on TV and it amazes me how dumb people are in terms of thinking cops will “go easy on them”. Cops:” just tell me if there is drugs in your car”. frick you bitch. I am not doing your job for you. I will catch the EXACT same charge whether I tell you or not. Why do people admit to anything? You’re just screwing yourself

Well if you listen to her on telling the cop what happened. She also said she ran and he chased her down and choked her out. Unless this dude has Jesus on speed dial, I doubt he chased her down while she was running.

He is picking up his leg with his hands and placing it in that manner.

My mom had polio when she was 3 years old. She told me that one day she just sat down and her mom told her to get up and she couldn't. She had to stay in the hospital for months without anyone visiting, etc.. but it happened right before they would start giving vaccines so once she received the vaccine, she was good to go. She always said she was lucky because a lot of other people had long term effects.
With that said... I really don't know how it works when someone is paralyzed. Being in a wheelchair there are people who just assumes I a, paralyzed for whatever reason.. But I just through someone who is paralyzed had no use of whatever part of the body is paralyzed.

The superior is the reason affirmative action exists.

Life is different for a wheel chair person. Wife and I lived in the Middle East/far east for 20 years and almost always had a favorable experience. We always traveled as a small contingent, able to set our own pace.
The issue that can not be overcome. access to other folks social space will always be limited due to ramps, curbs, doors, sandy backyards, toilet access etc. Folks will not overtly exclude us, but will rather minimize inclusion. Its noticeable to the wheel chair rider.

Have the two of you traveled anywhere that you would consider to be "the most accessible"?

Please let us know that the female was charged with something.
(We have to stop using the word "lady" carelessly.)

Cops aren’t your friends. They don’t give a frick about you or your rights or the law.
From Barney Fife to J. Edgar.
They’re mostly too stupid to do anything else.

the US is the most accessible
comments describing countries attitude toward accessibility
Malaysia on a day trip we visited a beach enviromental beach resort. Loved it, asked for a booking the next weekend and was told that there only accessible site was already rented, but,,,,they would install 200 feet of concrete walkway during the week to make another accessible.
Japan train stations were a hundred percent long stair access. We bought a car for transportation there.
Costa Rico has to many curbs, ditches, obstruction to walk safely
Thailand we hired a young couple and their mini van for a tour north of Bangkok for ten days. The young lady after 5 days asked me why I did not divorce after her accident and find a complete person.
Saudi Arabia women are not allowed drive, so we located an unused dumping ground about 5 miles into the dunes that was private and she would drive the car. With taxi and good walking surfaces getting around worked.
Italy we took the train from Rome to Vernice and back. It was crowded, a little haphazard. A lady at the Venice train station heard us talking about needing a hotel and offered to take us by boat ferry to a local place.
Germany/Austria worked well with a rented car. access was pretty good and we felt safe enough to let the kids loose at a beer festival
Kenya/africa we took a 12 seat tour bus for the week and access worked pretty well.
I guess for disability folks with a competent driver, me,, the best of our travels was with a 30 foot motor home through the western states up to the arctic circle in Alaska. Big windshield and 50 mile views. No need to pack or un pack. We did 2 4 month trips.
