I will completely agree with you if someone is obviously drunk, you “probably” even have a legal obligation to NOT give them their keys…just like a bartender. I am not an attorney, but I would think the valet/bartender/hotel would be responsible for not allowing a person to drive. I think it’s bad to give them their keys take their tip, then call the cops.
Ahhh, the good ole “if you’re over the limit and drive home, it’s a lock you kill 4 people, 8 dogs and 12 mailboxes”. 99.6% of all dwi tickets are non fatal.

As Ive said MANY times, I haven’t had one. For the record, reporting a DD on the street is the right thing to do, but there is something that’s weak about a valet doing it. Kinda along the lines of a bartender doing it.
