He is famous in the area. The tranny is a lawyer. He knew what he was doing when he approached the specific baker. The set-up was in describing a cake that may be requested for revealing the gender of a baby.
The rug then was intentionally pulled out with the revelation of derangement. It was all on purpose and a big, fat set-up. They now know they cannot break his will so they will try to ruin him financially.

Yes, no one should be compelled to do speech they don't want to associate with, including large businesses. It's like Walmart refusing to make a Nazi flag cake. Custom work is different than standard work.
I don't think this is a case of compelled speech though, I actually think this is harassment of the cake maker. If the lawyer wanted the blue/pink cake, they could of easily just went into the store and asked for a pink cake with blue icing and got it without reference to any message. I got a feeling the conversation with the baker specifically mentioned why they wanted the cake that way to spring the trap on the baker. The lawyer chose to leave a message off the cake to try and make it appear they wanted a normal cake so it wasn't compelled speech.
I'm glad the baker is fighting it, good to set the precedent.

I don't understand what the attorney thinks he accomplished here. Unless he first wanted to see if the baker would refuse any custom cake because he was a trans and called an audible once he realized the baker wasn't a bigot.
Accepting the original request only helps the baker.

The market should determine this. Everyone who believes as he believes, should do their best to give him all the business that they can. I would love for his business to thrive so much that he could always claim he was too busy to do whatever.

It is all designed to make the baker so poor he has to shut his bakery down. Legal fees on years long cases that go to SCOTUS are not affordable by individuals.

I understand what you saying ... but the situations you listed don’t apply here... this is a wedding cake(I think)... not some blatant random nonsense... I mean why would a baker even care who’s getting married???...
