The news I saw didn't say how many women showed up for jury duty wearing pink in support of her.
Only said "several".
This case has brought out the worst in the "modern woman".

This will be re-tried down the line, and the prosecution will bring in much heavier hitters

Apologies if this isn't correct because I haven't followed this case closely, but is it true that this jury wasn't sequestered?
It's crazy to me that they could've easily been reading the same batshit internet theories and takes that everyone else has during this process.
If that's the case, would the judge have been able to sequester them once it became clear this case was a national frenzy?

a hung jury is probably the best outcome at this point. now what that means for society and men v women, no bueno

I've been to a couple of mental health cases involving involuntary hospitalization.
At least here in this state it's not about past behavior, it's about current behavior.
All a person has to do is fake it to prove "See? I'm all better now!" And they can get right out.
And you better bet that her tune is gonna flip as soon as she's in a hospital.
40 days at best. That's the max amount of time the judge can put her in for, and then she's up for review as to whether she will stay in for a year.

None of this online craziness was revealed until after they selected the jury. The prosecution may very well have wanted more women, thinking they would empathize more with the children and hate the mother. And thought men would be more likely to go by the letter of the law which, in Massachusetts, makes the prosecutions burden much more difficult to prove.
Hell, the women we assume are dug in for Lindsay, may not have been had the online ground-swelling not manifested. While they are instructed not to talk about, watch, or read anything regarding the case, there’s no way, without being sequestered, they haven’t been exposed to this. Especially if they were addicted to TikTok already. No way they were able to voluntarily quit it cold turkey for 6 weeks.
Honestly, a hung jury would not be the worst thing in the world for the prosecution. There are a ton of things they fricked up that they will learn from and do differently in another trial. And I don’t think there’s anyway they just drop it. They’ll probably be more likely to try to settle now, but the online support may have just emboldened the defense to reject any settlement and take their chances again with another trial.

Yes, it's true they weren't sequestered.
This case has "mistrial" written all over it.
Almost as if the prosecution and judge didn't want their names on it, and are trying to pass it along.

Yeah it sounds like some of the Commonwealth's experts were terrible... 1 (Dr. Mack I think was his name) I believe even resigned from his job b/c his time on the witness stand went so poorly
The Commonwealth is in a bit of a pickle in that... for optics sake... they need a woman prosecutor trying this case so that limits their options for a retrial
Definitely need new experts though

Yeah the two female bimbo prosecutors bombed this case terribly and should resign their position. Hopefully new competent, male prosecutors are brought in next round to be able to go toe to toe with Reddington better. And maybe we'll get lucky and somehow the next jury could be majority male.

This is what people are missing. Anyone who has really watched this trial, and I've watched an embarrassing amount, can see that there has been plenty of room left open by the prosecution for some reasonable doubt. In addition to the prosecution acting for the defense at times, some inconsistencies in testimonies, and a very tight timeline, questions are raised.
And once the questions are raised, it's all over. It takes one juror to break the rules and go down the Patrick Clancy rabbit hole. Then, when the judge went over the instructions to the jury and repeated myriad times that she is "presumed innocent of the crimes," it's game over for the prosecution.
Not to mention it's just about the saddest story ever. By ALL accounts, Lindsay was a sweet and exceptional mom. She wasn't a Mahjong wine mom, she wasn't out at the club with her girlies having a bunch of "me" time. It's the most horrifying thing to think that someone you know - who is a great person and loved by all - can just snap and do something like this. If she had an extensive history of mental illness, it might be easier to understand, but her acute phase was only a few months.
