No way, no how, not even in a nightmare.

OH HELL TO THE FRICKIN NO! Didn't we just see a 2 month old bridge collapse those clowns built. I have worked in Chiner and have seen first hand their quality of work and will say again...oh hell to the frickin no!

Look, I am all for a little excitement, but I don't understand this extreme stuff.

Watching it again.. You can't just decide when you get tired that you had enough. And if you suddenly have a panic attack that has to be a scary feeling.

ETA I should note there are a lot of times if they fell, even if properly secured, it wouldn't be a picnic to get back on the ladder, and there is no option to bail out once you get gripped.
this guy knows what's up. i've in work at height for 20 years. clip in all you want, if you fall off that ladder someone's gonna have to come get you and who knows what the safety plan is for that place. the via ferrata looks awesome. even with 20 yrs up high, that sky ladder would give me the willies

I wonder if there is someone to come get somebody who has fallen and can’t get back on.

Nope, not happening. I just know the first time one of my feet slipped off one of those rungs embedded in the rock, the person below me would be having a bad day because there would likely be a shite-shower heading their way.

As long as I’m clipped in I would have no problem with doing it.
I'm scared of heights but I've rock climbed a bit without any problem. Having protection, if you trust it, makes all the difference.
OTOH a guide in Jackson Hole was telling me about a park ranger who was climbing a difficult route oh his day off. He got to the top and discovered he had forgotten to buckle his climbing harness.

I get that it could be “scary” but is it actually dangerous?
Posted on 11/23/25 at 8:09 pm to i am dan
No. Just no. I thought I was gonna die at a local ropes course a few years ago even though it was only about 20 feet off the ground. This is like a real life nightmare.

I have zero fear of heights but I'm not doing that.
Posted on 11/23/25 at 9:22 pm to i am dan
That was horrifying to watch.

That’s some dumb shite I would do. Looks fun.
