I've been pickpocketed in Chi ... Dude pushed me down and took me wallet...all he got was the ID and plastic...I had cash in my jacket pocket. Guy about killed this 70+ yr old, as he was running off.. knocking her head first backwards. I doubt the fact that he didn't get any cash is going to sway his opinions about the cost risk benefit. Chicago PD have time date and camera footage of the guy trying to buy more L tickets with my cards... And nothing happened to that guy. If he had got me 1 step later, I have no doubt that lady would be dead...she barley missed hitting her head on a concrete bench. It really was one of those moments that time stood still

I was in Chicago in June. No one took cash. I forgot my travel credit card at home and didn't want to use my work or debit card. Pretty much every place I went to that was counter service wouldn't take cash.
