After this post my first question stands...also your swipe at me really hurts because I imagine you're well acquainted with dicks.

This must be fake news ... I just checked Yahoo and there is not a single mention of anything happening in Chicago. And we know Yahoo is all about the truth since it took down its “comments” section when the opinions did not match its narrative. Also, don’t forget to visit and take the quick survey of whether you will vote for Trump ... oh wait, you can’t take that survey because the only option they give is whether you’ll vote for Biden.

The morning e-edition of the Tribune had coverage. some of my takeaways
This area was looted three weeks ago.
Once this started, more folks arrived by cars and a Rented van also pulled up to take the looted stuff away.
It lasted over four hours.
There were shots from looters around 4:30 am which the police responded to.
Several hundred looters were involved.
Tear gas etc.
Because it didn't seem to be over this am, all but one bridge over the river were raised, L and bus access to the area was cancelled.
No comments from the mayor's office.

I think people are just accepting that this has to happen, to appease the rioters and looters (formerly known as protestors), so that things can indeed get back to normal.
In any event, this is bad for democrats which is a good thing for America.

Comrade Lightfoot will certainly blame Trump and his sending of BATF to her peaceful city.

Well the largest story on the front page is almost 2 weeks old. I.e. Bezos ex donation a billion.
That’s probably the first time I’ve entered yahoo.com in my browser in over a year.
It is telling, by looking at the various news outlets...
CNN- the only mention I see is “trending” in small type.
Fox - Main story on front page.
CBS- main story
MSNBC and NBC- I don’t see a mention on front page.
ABC- top left of front page in small type.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was hospitalized Sunday after shots were exchanged between Chicago police and an individual in Englewood.
Police responded about 2:30 p.m. to the 5700-block of South Racine Avenue for a report of a person with a gun. When officers arrived, they found a young male suspect who matched the description given, police said. He appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s.
Police tried to confront him in a nearby alley, but he reportedly ran from officers, pulled out a gun and began shooting at them.
"They confronted him. He fled on foot. Short foot pursuit," Deputy Chief Yolanda Talley said. "During the foot pursuit, the offender turned and fired shots at the officers. The officers then returned, discharging their weapons."

I’m just glad the people of Chicago don’t get upset every time someone is shot by members of their own community...Chicago would be wrecked

Why? They wanted what they're getting, and they're getting it. Good and hard.
You should be glad citizens are getting exactly what they voted for. Isn't democracy wonderful?
