I feel like there's something to this story that's missing.
They aren't going to cancel for what you have described to us.
Maybe you should be truthful and tell us what really happened.

According to google, Chase is notorious for overzealously canceling accounts for these & other reasons. Crazy.

Call them up and ask to speak to a 7/11 not casino Indian and tell those Dotheads to kiss your American arse.

So many so quick just to accept this guys side. I'm sure he's softening his reaction so he comes out better
Chase can bank with who they want. Sucks for you

You’d better make a donation to the DNC and buy a case of bud light quickly!

This. Best banking move I ever made. Now when I call, if I can't understand them it's because of the deep southern accent. I am still getting used to being called "baby" "sweetheart" and "honey" by this one manager when I call up with a question, but I can live with those kind of problems.

I’ve had issues with Chase (my wife uses them, I do not).
Wife uses hers as a simple spending account that she keeps track of. No bills, just a low balance debit card for spending.
The last issue was my wife was out of town and I walked inside Chase to put $400 cash in her account just to make sure she had enough while out of town. I had cash, and her account number written on a deposit slip. The employee told me they couldn’t accept the $400 cash because the account was not in my name. Even though it was cash…they wouldn’t accept it inside a bank.
My only thought is someone can put a shite ton of cash in someone’s account and get them flagged for drug dealing or something???

Should file a formal complaint with the Consumer Protection Bureau.
At least they have to deal with the headache. Especially since they're unwilling to put a reason in writing.

This. Folks who can pick up the phone and straighten out almost any issue you’re having.
Someone texted me at 4:45 today (I’m a community banker) to ask me for help with their online password and Venmo. Was able to help him straighten it out before I left for the day so he could shoot his college kid some money.

Chase Bank just cancelled my accounts because of my discrimination! by dietcoke7
Been with Chase for 40 years. House financed through them, paid long ago, couple of cars, multiple credit cards and checking account. Both of us 800+ credit scores
About two months ago wife(no pics) going on trip. I handed her one of our Chase cards to use on trip. Inadvertenly, I gave her one that had been dormant for years, I had forgotten we even had it.
Sometime later got an email saying payment late. I looked it up and discovered that it was this card that I had forgotten about and paid the card. Next day I get a dunning phone card from Chase, obviously from the Phillippines, I recognized the accent and I could not easily understand him, asking for payment. I logged on while he was on the phone, did not see the payment, and made it again while on the phone with him. My account reflected the payment.
The guy from the PI proceeds to tell me that I did not make the payment and he threatens account cancellation. I told him I can see the payment on my screen. He repeats his threat. I said I want to talk to someone who speaks English as a native language. I had to get through two more people before finally a supervisor in Florida who speaks English.
He confirms the payment and apologizes for the people in Asia not having handled it properly. I asked for my account to be flagged that I only be contacted by English speaking Chase employees. He said if it ever happens again just ask to speak to an English speaker.
Today I get a message from Amazon that my Chase Amazon card has been declined. Call Chase and told that all of my accounts have been cancelled and my checking account has been closed. Going through several levels of Chase employees I was told it was because of customer misconduct. Finally told likely because of a report of discrimination against Chase employees but they would not put reason in writing.
This account has numerous automatic payments, car note utilities, etc. Plus is receives all of our retirement, pension paymenst. Meeting with local branch manager in the morning to see if I can access my account or have to wait ten business days for a check to be mailed to me.
Now I know what the Canadian truck protesters felt like.
F*** Chase.
THIS IS HOW YOU SUBTLE BRAG

THIS here is why the First Amendment should apply to private establishments in some instances. International Corporations are the Fourth Branch.
It should be illegal for banks to cancel for any reason other than default.
They want to discriminate, they have to become a credit union.

So how does a bank cancel accounts with funds in them withut you knowing it. I am not buying this story yet.
I have also banked with Chase for 40 yrs and have a shitton of money in their bank in numerous vectors. If they cancel me out they better dam sure be calling me to ask where to put my funds...
