Overweight is a BMI of 25. That's a ton of people.

Did the article split out how many were just obese with BMI of 30?

Definition of obese is kind of dumb these days

Kinda, but I think there have been studies that showed even if you have a large amount of muscles mass, still being over certain weights for your height puts a lot of strain on your body

Well, almost 80% of adults are overweight so this is not some groundbreaking stat.

And this is why so many Americans have died from the virus.

I'd like to see it broken down by "overweight" vs "obese"

There's so many people who are technically "overweight" BMI wise. I'm 25.1 so technically overweight....but they also say 130lbs for my height is "healthy" and there's just no way.

I'm guessing the obese take a large majority of these cases.

I think this is slightly misleading. Sure, there seems to be a pretty strong correlation. But it's easy to forget that just about everyone is overweight. A BMI of 25 is overweight. So 6' 185lbs is technically overweight.

No, there’s a way. You’re wrong.

It’s simple:
- eat less in general
- eat more vegetables
- exercise often

It’s not rocket science.

People in Louisiana are particularly bad about this. They all say, "I really don't eat that bad", while making 7am boudin runs.

Ever wonder how we got to 'wear a mask, socially distance, and shut businesses down' instead of old people protect yourselves and everyone else get outside and lose weight? We are so fricked.

78% = seemingly “pretty strong correlation”

They were actually underrepresented

The article says 80% were "overweight or obese"

More than 80% of Americans are overweight or obese

It's not easy to forget, all you have to do is look around. Nothing but fatties everywhere and it accepted, even celebrated. "thiccc"

Not surprising since...
