Overweight and obese have become so commonplace that individuals truly believe that a healthy weight is “anorexic” in appearance.
I've had to drop waist size recently. It was a challenge to find jeans in a 32" waist or below.

Unfortunately the gyms were all closed for a while. Some are still closed.
I have a 15K this weekend. The original route was through Mnt Brook, AL. The Karens and Kens there are so woke that they made the organizers cancel the race. The healthiest people in our community working on getting healthier denied the ability to run OUTSIDE.
Thankfully they moved the race to another venue.

Unfortunately, this has become commonplace with a lot of retailers. After working for one for over 5 years, the majority of sizes we carried were 34 and up. I always felt bad for the tall, skinny baws.
I am just hoping to get down to 33 waist by the summer. Good on you dropping sizes!

And this is why so many Americans have died from the virus.
It probably has something to do with it...but the OP's stat doesn't prove anything.
If I told you 80% of people who died of covid had brown or black hair all while the 80% of the population also has brown or black hair, does that mean brown and black hair is the reason people died from the virus?
There are other facts other than the OP's that are more convincing as to why so many obese people have died.

Yeah, handing out free, unhealthy shite for getting the vaccine is hilarious. I am borderline overweight/normal weight according to BMI, but it's still hilarious the amount of fatasses that will only get the shot because they get free donuts
Then damned if they didn't prioritize vaccines and let the fat, lazy morons and the smokers get the first shots.

Half of the deaths are men!!!
There has to be a connection.

When the Chinese created this virus, they specifically made it to target men the most

Karen’s don’t give a shite about the virus. It’s the soy folk causing problems. Karen’s are sending their kids to travel ball and going to the gym.

I'm willing to bet yes. And my theory is the vast majority of those comorbidities were old age.
The big secret that will come out in a couple of years is the impact of drug abuse on Covid-19 deaths. Tens of millions of Americans are habitual users of opiods and other drugs. I bet these are the big demographic getting mowed down by Covid-19.

Definition of obese is kind of dumb these days
I really hate this argument though.
Because some people might be like 1 bmi over weight and come running, oh this is a sham, it says I'm obese. Not really, just says you are overweight and by looking at you, you are.
Then we get into football players. These guys aren't normal humans. And just because someone has a shite ton of muscle weight, doesn't mean they aren't carrying more weight than their frame can handle. Even those guys break down at some point, some sooner than others.
