re: BONUS THREAD: Trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton & Jackson Hole OR Costa Rica Suggestions - LSUtiger17
Sugar Beach in St. Lucia was amazing in January. Not sure about how the weather is there in July though. That's peak season for Yellowstone/Grand Teton though. Pros and cons there with the traffic ...

re: CDC: 80% of Covid-19 hospitalizations were from overweight or obese people... - LSUtiger17
I'm currently hovering in the 175 range, wear 32s comfortably, and do heavy weight training at least 4 days a week and understand I'm overweight.
Meh, I don't know about that. Maybe I'm just in denial, but I think it's incorrect to say that just because someone is 6' 185lbs they are ...
Yes, it is. Lose some weight. Eat less Eat more vegetables Exercise often
Lol get out of here. 6' 185 is not overweight if you lift weights and have some muscle. Bodyfat % is a much more appropriate measure....

re: CDC: 80% of Covid-19 hospitalizations were from overweight or obese people... - LSUtiger17
I think this is slightly misleading. Sure, there seems to be a pretty strong correlation. But it's easy to forget that just about everyone is overweight. A BMI of 25 is overweight. So 6' 185lbs is technically overweight. ...

re: Question about the COVID mRNA vaccine. - LSUtiger17
Think of a spike protein like a bullet. A bullet by itself is relatively harmless unless fired from a gun. The protein is only one ingredient the virus needs to do harm. But it is a unique ingredient to the virus. So it is used as an indicator to train you body to know how to kill the virus.[...

Dumbbell and Kettlebell Only Workout - LSUtiger17
I recently purchased some powerblock dumbbells and a few kettlebells. I don’t have access to a barbell. I’m planning a program based on these two types of weights, pull-ups, and push-ups. Pull-ups and push-ups will be frequency method 5-6 days/week. I’m planning an A-B workout plan to do 3x a week. ...

re: "Starter" Home Gym Suggestions - LSUtiger17
Thanks for the recs and input, everyone. I confirmed that I can cancel my gym membership at the end of the month and went ahead and ordered the Powerblock Elite 5-90 dumbbells. Apparently they haven't been in stock for months, so I jumped on them. I'll probably order a Rogue Fold Up Utility Bench in...
do you have access to an Anytime or Snap Fitness? Cut the cost in half and still have everything you need
Not really. Live uptown and everything is expensive. This is a gym that's walking distance from where I work, so I can workout during lunch or right after work without driving...
There’s a Concept 2 and Assault bike for sale in Metairie on FB. I’d jump on them.
Thanks, but there's no space. "Starter" Home Gym Suggestions - LSUtiger17
I'm looking at building a "starter" home gym. I put "starter" because there's a pretty significant caveat--I can't have a barbell or power rack. These will be added in the future (probably when I move in about a year), but, for now, I don't have any space. I also can't have rings because I don't hav...
how many you doing a day?
Called it at 400 today. This was my first time and wanted to see how my body reacts before I push up to 500.
I would say forget the knockoffs and get the Peloton. It's a better piece of equipment by a lot.
This. Just go ahead and get one instead of doing the tablet + other bike. A big part of it is having the metrics. You don't get that with just the tablet. ...
