The church isn’t morally compromised. There are people that are. I recognize your cool and It’s fun to bag on the Catholic Church but it’s still the foundation that Jesus Christ himself left us with. I know the downvotes will come but I’m tied of listening to internet heroes bashing me for my faith.

This is why religion isn't allowed here. If you have the right to believe in a certain faith, others have the right to bash it.

This doesn’t make sense.

The Church would rather see those who choose to take a vaccine use other options.

The church doesn’t know wtf it wants considering how the pope has handled recent subjects.

Just because you are not perfect and you've committed moral wrongs doesn't mean you can't recognize immorality and advocate for less moral wrongs.

Yeah, and this is why some are bagging on the Catholic Church in this thread. What you've laid out is textbook hypocrisy, and it's especially gross when it's perpetrated by a body that presents itself as the moral authority.

Sure it does. Some believe Catholicism is a cult. If you can talk about how you believe in this thread, we can talk about how it's a cult.

Interesting. Church would rather see people die, and society not return to normal, because already-aborted stem cells are used.

This take is next level stupid.

That isn't what you said, for sure...and it certainly doesn't address why discussing Religion can't be done here.

I know reading is not really common in OT threads....but the reason is given right here:

due to the use of cells derived from abortions.

Since when can the favor of the Catholic Church not be bought? Last I checked it’s been for sale for say about 2000 years

No unborn were "harvested" for these vaccines.

I would say no due to the lack of efficacy if anything. If you take the vaccine, why do for 65% effective when you can 95% with a booster shot? Usually the folks who agree to vaccines would agree to two of them. It’s convincing the folks who refuse any vaccine that is the rate limiting step. I would hope that any rational human would reject a vaccination derived from abortions.

Whatever the “church” is so damn stupid how many got Urokinase? Yeah didn’t hear them bitching about saving lives with fetal kidney cells back in the 80s & 90s

Urokinase was developed in 1952 and was derived by extracting it from human urine.

Being edgy is relevant to this?

I’m not defending the Catholic Church or it’s numerous failings. But it’s reasoning on the vaccine isn’t out of line with its historical stance on abortion. I don’t see the reason for all the hyperventilating.

Other than it’s the Catholic Church and people think it’s cool to shite on it at every chance.
