Were not returning to normal. Are you kidding us? Nothing I’m seeing indicates normality. Even DeWine in Ohio. We are fricked.

Yea but they don’t care that Biden, who openly supports abortion, is president

you obviously don't know what you're talking about. The priest of every parish that i know of practically begged people NOT to vote for a party that supported abortion. There is one guy who calls himself a Jesuit priest, James Martin who supports biden, but he's about the only one. Jesuit's are weird lot anyway. Just look to the pope as an example of a weird Jesuit.

The church isn’t morally compromised. There are people that are. I recognize your cool and It’s fun to bag on the Catholic Church but it’s still the foundation that Jesus Christ himself left us with. I know the downvotes will come but I’m tied of listening to internet heroes bashing me for my faith.

As a fellow Catholic, PREACH!

The one, TRUE, church.

That’s interesting coming from the Catholic Church, especially with the Pope that’s in charge.

No, the Catholic Church does not support abortion in any case and does not want its members to condone the method used to produce the J&J vaccine when alternative options are available.

The choice is not J&J or death.

The Catholic church has some arse backwards thinking on abortion. They will not allow surgeons in their hospitals to treat an ectopic pregnancy by removing the NON VIABLE fertilized egg unless they perform a total hysterotomy. They consider the hysterectomy the proper treatment for an ectopic pregnancy and not an abortion but if you remove the non viable fertilized egg without performing a total hysterectomy they consider that an abortion. So egg only, abortion... Egg and sterilizing a woman, often very young women, totally acceptable.

Further, people working for a Catholic hospital are "not allowed" to refer a woman with this condition to a hospital that will treat the condition without a hysterectomy, further more they won't even let them tell them there is another option much less tell them what the other option is. Talk about nurses, but when you have a loved one in a Catholic hospital in this situation and the nurse sits on the side of the bed after the doctor leaves and tells them to get another opinion and tells them were to seek that opinion you will be thankful.

Yeah, and this is why some are bagging on the Catholic Church in this thread. What you've laid out is textbook hypocrisy, and it's especially gross when it's perpetrated by a body that presents itself as the moral authority.

That’s ridiculous.

The Church doesn’t promote the failures of some within the church as moral.

Catholic Church officials want those babies to be born so they can molest them.

The church doesn't support harvesting the unborn to create medicines

You make it sound as if people are getting knocked up, and having abortions, just to create medicines.

There’s no harvesting going on here. Stem cells from a single aborted fetus, one who was aborted decades ago, is being used to save people today.

Taking a negative and turning it into a positive. How is this wrong??

Interesting. Church would rather see people die, and society not return to normal, because already-aborted stem cells are used.

Really? Someone killed an infant in its mother's womb, and J&J used cells from the body parts to make their vax.

How is this not detestable to anyone NOT an Aztec!!!

I’ll get down voted into oblivion... but I’ll say say it.

PT board calls Biden “pedo-joe” but will defend the church because they are real Catholics and using lining from fetuses is the devil’s work

The entire Catholic Church covered up children getting molested but there is a line with fetuses... clutch pearls y’all

This. I don't really see an issue here. I would be curious their take if the J&J was the only option..

Just look up their opinion on MMR vaccine. Also the main at risk folks should have already had access to the other two vaccines who also seem to be more effective.

This is only a statement for the Archdiocese of New Orleans and not from Rome or any national organizations from what I’ve seen. Which is rich coming from Archbishop Aymond that allowed pedophile priests to continue working after he knew they molested children. He’s basically Joe Paterno.
