If so, how often?
Just got a cute little kitten but was wondering when/if I should bathe him
TIA
If wrong board, pls move to correct one.

You don't ever have to bathe a cat. They do it themselves.
If you do, you can use a dry shampoo. And if you do want to start it, start when they're a kitten

You don't want to bathe a cat unless they've gotten extremely dirty and won't be able to groom themselves, or if they've gotten something toxic on their coat and would be dangerous to groom themselves.

Occasionally, not often. They're a lot better than dogs at staying clean.
They resist so you don't do it unless you have to.

Cats bathe themselves. Only time I ever bathe a cat is if he gets in some dead animals or gasoline.

If that cat has its claws, you going to be getting some new designs on your skin. If it doesn’t, it’s going to piss all over your bed.

Start early & bathe often or else your arms will look like you are a cutter on the regular.

Just brush him regularly.

The fur might stick to your tongue. Start early so he’s used to it.

Occasionally, if fleas are a problem

Sometimes they'll get into something that you don't want dragging across the house. Or they may get sick and stop cleaning themselves. Just last week my medium hair cat looked like she was covered in grease because she wasn't feeling well enough to groom.

Wild take and very untrue.
Cats are independent and just want to be left alone and only ask you to provide the essentials for their life. If anything they are more libertarian.

No, you don't bathe cats. It's one of their (many) good traits.

If it is a long hair kitten, trim and brush his behind so no dingleberries form.
