re: 2026 Formula 1 (F1) Season Thread

They are smaller per the new regulations.

Size Reductions:
"They’ve slashed the wheelbase (length) by 200mm (around the length of your average reusable drinks bottle) to 3400mm while the width has been cut by 100mm (the length of your average chocolate bar) to 1900mm. The floor width has been cut by 150mm, too."

Weight Reductions:
"Bringing the weight down was a key goal of the revised 2026 regulations with the rulemakers managing to remove 30kg (around the weight of an adult dalmatian, apparently) versus the 2022 machines to get the weight down to 768kg. The FIA say this is 722kg car and 46kg (estimated) tyres."

Tire Reductions:
"The width of the front tyres has been cut by 25mm and the rears by 30mm which will cut weight, with the FIA saying there will be a “minimal loss” of grip."

The original post has the changes in imperial units. I just grabbed this off of Formula1.com
From my understanding, teams are only allowed to use one car and can only drive it 3 of the 5 days. Positive note, two days to repair the car before their final day of testing on Friday since they ran yesterday and today.

However, you can add me on discord, and I will send it that way. My tag is #twade. Include the period after the e.
The blue gloss looks good. I wonder how 'real' of a car they used versus a 'show' car.
Does MMedia have a subscription? I use Drogon every year for NFL games, it cost about $50 for the season.
Just mentioned Corr in my current clan's discord. They were curious your ingame name back then. A lot of our "oldheads" were from Corruption.
I still clan scene a bit, DF is still somewhat active today.

From what I read if you lose, the money will be forfeited and go against the cap.

Speaking on FIA enforcement, I read on racingnews365 that the FIA is increasing the protests, reviews, and appeals threshhold from €2,000 to €20,000. Teams will still receive the deposit back if they win the protests and forfeit it if they lose.

Seems like inflation has also hit the FIA.

Prayers for GP & his wife.

He took some time off during the 2025 season and only came back when Max had a chance in the title fight. From my understanding, he wants to step back into a role where he can still help but not have to keep up with the travel schedule so he can spend time with his wife & child. I would assume if he leaves Red Bull it's because they aren't willing to accommodate and will then go to another English based team who will.

It's difficult to give you a definite answer missing some details. However, if it is a LTCG, it will be taxed at 0%, 15%, or 20% whichever is applicable to you. Regarding estimated payments, you can pay it now, but as long as you meet the IRS safe harbor requirements it may not be necessary, and you can just pay the tax by April 15th. I recommend reviewing the LTCG rates and IRS Safe Harbor rules to figure it out.

All of Grand Mother Silk's moves you have seen from other bosses you've beaten. Also, the food fetch quest can be frustrating being one of the deliveries is timed and if you take damage, it can mean you fail the delivery.
30 - I remember being at my grandparents' house having them fall asleep to the Bush / Gore election results.

I never played the original Hollow Knight before playing Silksong. I ended up beating the Grand Mother Silk ending and most of the other bosses. I read you should play the original to enjoy one of the other Silksong endings and is what I am doing currently. Although, I haven't progressed too far in the original I do think the first game is quite a bit easier. I enjoy the fluidity and movement more in the second. Secondly, every "upgrade" whether it is the cloak, double jump, wall climb, etc felt more rewarding in Silksong. However, I like the Knight's power progression via lockets.
This information and adding in FICA & Louisiana withholding rate. You can make a reasonable estimation of taxes withheld which is in line with the $4,000 withheld.

$12,060 * 22% = $2,653
$12,060 * 7.65% = $923
$12,060 * 3% = $362
Total Employee Withholdings - $3,938

From a tax perspective, a solo member LLC will be treated as a disregarded entity and flow through to Schedule E (Rental & Royalty Income) in this case. However, he would still get all of the legal benefits of the LLC assuming the corporate veil remains unpierced.
You should also talk to your CPA to fully understand what you are getting into from a tax perspective. I've seen many clients of mine make avoidable mistakes thinking a trust is a blanket solution to all of their estate tax problems.

Why the hell are we huddling to call an obvious QB sneak?
Glad for him, being a grinder and great teammate goes a long way in the NFL. Not surprised a team made room for Josh, he is a valuable asset regardless of wherever or whatever his role will be.
I've been playing through it other than a few crashes / bugs causing me to lose a few minutes of progress / getting my buggy stuck it has been quite enjoyable. Definitely feel a step up in difficulty, managed to kill the Roach Queen last night and ran into a wolf spider on my way home.
