You are right the way I wrote it. I'll try to clarify. These aren't acquaintances, these are people way past formalities. They can show up anytime, any day. If you have a problem call...most of us are like:
Hey, wanna come over Saturday?
Sure.
(Then Saturday a call or text) On my way, need anything?
Nah, we'll figure it out.

The ones i was trying to describe go on forever. And they keep coming up with new contingencies that need to be considered. Then they (obviously) start talking together and creating more drama. The question of food gets ridiculous. When they have something they tell us specific things to bring and other instructions. Which we do, but when we say, bring nothing and we'll take care of it all it seems to piss them off. Once one guy was dividing what everybody owed at a game down to the cents. I went up and paid for it all and he sulked. I just don't like being bothered with all that. Who cares?

I have many of the same friends I had in HS, but, sadly it's gotten where i really don't like doing things with them. When you are younger everything is new and fun so you're all just having a great time and can spend days around each other without anyone getting on your nerves. Now some of them get on my nerves before the would-be event even starts. They make things so complicated!
Them: What time?
Me: I don't care. Whenever
Them: How about 6:30?
Me: I don't care. Come by anytime, you can come by at 2 for all i care.
Them: Do we need to bring something? Are we eating?
Me: Nah, we'll grill something or whatever...maybe just order pizza
Them: If it's pizza I need blah blah blah
Me: -
Them: Who all is coming?
Me: don't know (sigh)
Them: i can call so and so blah blah blah

I look at these doctored photos and wonder what she really looks like.

I dropped them, too, because it was such a time sink. Most of my friends play them all the time. I don't see how they can just sit there all the time. All the guys in my office start playing when they get home and stop when they get sleepy. Then they complain about all the things that need to be done around the house, or things broken, or wives complaining. Uh, yeah man.

But i wouldn't stop kids from totally playing video games. I would stop them from doing any tech while eating.

Some can pull off a tiny side-nose pierce. I have seen NO ONE pull off the bull ring front-nose pierce. It's like an instant ugly device. Anyone that gets it seriously hates their mother.

Maybe it wasn't based solely on time. It was "classic" because it was the Rock that instructed all to follow. The originators, the godfathers, the innovators, the legends...
Why would "the new crap" be considered classic? Some of it is very good, but for the most part it's not near as influential. (Some great exceptions of course.)

Are all of the people saying NO to living with before marriage abstaining from sex as well? If not that's pretty dumb.
