I have been waiting for this thread for over a year.
I think the dude is an absolute jackass, but I have friends who support him.
Either way it can be entertaining. He really upset me pushing one particular ladies buttons.
I am surprised he hasn't been beaten or shot by now.

There a survey done not too long ago, and the best indicator for whether someone was a "good person" was that they put the cart back in the cart corral.

When someone at a red light is on their phone and holding up the line I lay on my horn. I don't just give the friendly honk anymore. I lay on it because F inconsiderate people. 90% of the time people get mad at me like I am the a-hole when in reality they are the assholes for being selfish and inconveniencing people to begin with.

Laziness and rudeness notwithstanding, isn't it still someone's job to collect carts in the parking lot and that cost is still incorporated into whatever you just paid for? Do you also cook and serve your own food when you go to a restaurant?

Most people are willing to leave without issue. Even one lady was laughing while leaving, but then he goes after her and puts the magnet on her car. Of course that is going to set some people off.
Then when they ask him to stop he continues. Of course that is going to push people's buttons. That is where he goes overboard. He knows how to get a rise out of them. Of course it is not worth it, but who is he to continue to harass people. And yes, I believe it becomes harassment when he continues to walk over to their car and throw a magnet on it after they ask him to stop.
I'm interested if he doesn't need consent then can they sue him for using their reaction to make money off youtube views?
I'm not so sure this dude is some honorable dude. He knows exactly what he is doing. He is going to cause someone to get a heart attack. He flat out lied to the guy when he said he was only filming for his protection. Has he ever put a cart behind a car intentionally to block them?
I have always put my cart back and am even happy to put others carts back, but I still think what he is doing is wrong when he doesn't leave them alone. Totally okay with him even asking others to consider putting the carts back. However, once they get pissed he should let it go. Just my opinion. I understand it's all for the views and fun of reactions.

People do that. Having worked in restaurants I can tell you people turn into monsters as soon as they walk through the door of a restaurant. Can you imagine grown arse men and women coming over to your house for dinner and leaving dirty silverware, food, and napkins all over the table, seat, and floor? The woman's argument of "it's their job to get the carts" is obviously not meant to roam the parking lot getting stray carts. Walking around a full grocery store parking lot is about as safe as jogging across the interstate
