You seem to be the expert here. Youve already told the class that they run to the bank often because their measly paycheck cant cover their lavish lifestyle until their year end bonus kicks in.
Someone mentioned earlier in this thread and its 100% true. The OT doesnt know dick about the mafia or river pilots, although everyone claims to know the inner workings like its their dinner table convos.

no it isn't. The guy who owns franks has never lived anywhere else but the NOLA area. I would know considering I am family.
And he is a great and stand up guy.

Dear Jones,
I wish you the best and hope you have a happy and healthy 2018. If you're still conflicted about which New Year resolution to attempt, I'd recommend the one that best improves your reading comprehension skills.
Best Wishes,
White Roach

Used to work in campaign financing for someone who got checks in from the different river boat pilot pacs. The checks were always for the maxed allowed $5K. If said pac had already given the max $5k, they’d have a member send a check for $5k for whatever dinner/fundraiser we would do.

Ever met a newpfew of CM last name Canizaro? They owned the package liquor store just outside of LSU campus?
No. I believe Craig’s father owned the Bread Basket a Little Cafe on Florida Street just past Foster Drive. Had a good looking sister named Meechie. No idea whatever happened to them-that’s been close to 40 years.

. He has been paying kickbacks and makes the majority of his money from video poker. He controls around 80% of the machines in the New Orleans Metro area through his Lucky Coin company.
The Saia's and Vincent Marcello also own video poker companies. Do they have the other 20% of the business?

What is the river boat pilot/mob connection
Old friend is a pilot and his dad's side is Sicilian. His cousin also Sicilian was his ticket into it.

Quite a few Abereshe in New Orleans as I've heard it told.
There's an entire organization dedicated to preserving Arbereshe heritage. The Contessa Entellina Society. Most of the Sicilians in Louisiana have some Arbereshe connection.

I believe the aerobic Mafia now has the biggest influence in New Orleans. They own a large amount of real estate, restaurants, hotels, companies, etc and are the primary funding behind the mayoral and other campaigns, especially the judges. I did some consulting work for an establishment owned by one of the big guys and i was shocked to see the number of “meetings” that went on every day. Judges and other political figures were constantly coming by to ask for money in return for favors including getting people out of jail and having their properties assessed at a fraction of the cost so that they would pay less property tax.

Pretty sure former mayor Vic Schiro was one of these.

His brother Frankie had the rather short-lived Mandinas on Perkins. I think he also had one in Mandeville. Don't know what he's up to now. I don't think they were related to Carlos. Marcello wasn't even really his name.
The Bread Basket was a badass little place, though. There were like 2 or 3 of them at one time.
