re: Putney Student Travel - jsquardjj
I agree. If the credit hours count, then it is worth it. Otherwise, it is overpriced. 8k could afford an epic trip for two people if you are worried about them being alone. ...

re: Disney/Universal Covid Review - jsquardjj
They are pretty strict. Universal was even more serious. Both have areas where you can go and take a break and pull them off and plenty of tables near non open restaurants where you can sit and keep it off. In line, walking around, and at the beginning of rides they will remind you to keep them ...

re: Disney/Universal Covid Review - jsquardjj
The hotel was nice, nothing special, but a good decent size doubletree with all the essentials - and, of course, the cookies. (They have coin laundry on site which was a big plus since we got soaked walking home the first day and only had only packed backpacks). They did not have shuttles. It is...

re: LSU is very fortunate that the season will be cancelled - jsquardjj
Let’s revisit a previous “Nostradamus” quote of yours: [quote]Eventually your poor offense would catch up with you. Burrow was exposed as the weak game manager he actually was. Also your staff shite the bed AGAIN. Its time to stand up for something and fire O and his assistants. This is your c...

re: Montana - Glacier National Park & Whitefish trip review - jsquardjj
Great review! Makes me want to go back tomorrow. Hard to compare it to Yosemite. Yosemite valley just has sooo much in one spot. On the other hand, you feel like you are all alone in Gods masterpiece in GNP because of its massive size. Then there is Yellowstone/grant Tetons...... So thankfu...

re: Engineering MS - jsquardjj
Both Masters programs are designed for non engineer undergrads, and mainly focus on the science. The only extra undergrad course I would be required to take before starting the program is: differential equations, physics, and an intro to programming (for the Boston LEAP program). The North Dakota op...

Engineering MS - jsquardjj
I hold a business management BS and have been researching getting a masters in engineering. There are a few programs that allow a 2 yr masters in engineering for non engineering undergrad majors. (Boston and N Dakota are the ones I am looking at now.) Question is, living in the New Orleans area, ...

re: Advice on when to book my flight - jsquardjj
It used to be about 5 months out for international and about 45 days out of domestic (not always, but that would be the estimate when I felt like I was getting the best deal), but with COVID and constantly changing fares, I would just book when you like the price. Most of the airlines are offering f...

re: Disney/Universal Covid Review - jsquardjj
No, I think that was lifted awhile ago. If it is still in effect, we were not told anything about it and had no issues. Went and took a rapid test yesterday before visiting our parents after the trip, and all tested negative. ...

re: Disney/Universal Covid Review - jsquardjj
The flight we purchased was on Spirit, direct to Orlando from MSY with no bags. You get a “personal item” for free which can also be a backpack. Each of us had a backpack which was plenty for just two days. I don’t see any from little rock, but Dallas has plenty of $35 options two weeks out....

Disney/Universal Covid Review - jsquardjj
Spent a quick trip with $29 RT flights to Orlando. One day at Universal and one day at Hollywood Studios Disney. If you can handle the mask all day, it is a great time to go for short wait times. Besides the virtual que for Star Wars rise of the resistance, every other ride was a walk on or 10mi...

re: Are you happier now than your younger days? - jsquardjj
Absolutely. Younger days were definitely more fun, but also filled with more uncertainty, loneliness, debt, no religious connection and small problems that felt much more stressful than they actually were. It’s easy to look back and say “wow, I had it so easy back then”, but it doesn’t mean ...
