Anyone here connect to the New Orleans Crime family, know some who is/was? Not sure if they are still active or hold influence in the city anymore.

The last description I heard of the NOLA mafia was that it was a bunch of washed up halfwits that thought they were real mafia. Basically street level thugs and no real power.

There's a guy that owns multiple restaurants in Destin that has ties, dude looks like a mobster. He was arrested years ago for racketeering for altering the payout of slot machines. Pretty sure he opened a restaurant in Nola years ago too but not sure if its still open.
A couple times he'd have some goons stop in for who knows what. This one time we had some people try to walk out on their tab, and two of the goons just happened to be there. The scene was straight up like a movie when the guys approached them. 100% wore jump suits too. It was ridiculous.
ETA: owners a POS from my experience too, no idea if he's still involved but he definitely acts like a guy that is in the MOB. Walks around like he's a boss.
