I really don't remember her name. I used to own a couple stores in the Riverwalk and met all of them then. Anthony and Vic owned several restaurants in the Riverwalk and my friend, who was married to Anthony's daughter, used to manage Anthony's Seafood on the 2nd floor.

I sold my stores in 2009 so Im not sure what they are up to nowadays.

Read ten pages and no mention of the "hit van" that was stopped and eventually searched. Two mafia fellas arrested back in maybe 2010 or so. Wasn't long ago I know that. Somewhere around Nola and they had the whole back of the van cleared out with a chair and guns in the back. It was a makeshift hit van with a hole cut out of the back door for the kill shot. The two guys had long rap sheets and most of the crimes sound like mafia type shite

I worked for a company that installed FEMA trailers after Katrina. Several months in, we moved our headquarters and staging area to Chalmette. My boss was pisses as frick one evening. When I asked why, he said he had a meeting with some of the people that don't come out in the light. They wanted a piece of the action Apparently St. Bernard parish is or was mobbed up pretty thoroughly.

A couple years after that a guy I know that has several funeral homes in the Houston area was going to expand in N.O. He cancelled that when some mob guys approached him for a payoff. He was pretty freaked out and disgusted by the whole experience. He'd never run across that back in Texas where he's from.

Vic is out of the river walk altogether. AJ has the crazy lobster and something else in Spanish Plaza at the river walk. I believe their sisters still own Messina’s.

No "mob" involved. Poor cash management and living slightly beyond their substantial means is the culprit. That guy probably got his loan approved in 2 minutes because it was the tenth year in the row he asked for one (and paid it back) and he has a shitload of non-liquid assets on his personal financial statement.

jesus some of the 'info' in this thread is laughable

The story around these parts is that Marcello and/or his guys would occasionally come to the hospital out here to hide out when the heat was on.

There are several people I work with who swear this is true, that they have firsthand knowledge of it.

I'm not interested enough to ask them more about it.
