Thank you for proving my point. It usually affects plaquemines because they are further south. Hence the special nature of this year’s intrusion projected to make it over 100 miles upriver. Which certainly doesn’t happen every year or anything close to it

I went to college with some. A handful are scuba instructors living that island life now. I don’t think they make any money but there are worse ways to go thru life I guess.

And according to the Corps of Engineers, a sill has only had to be constructed 3 times since the river was dredged to 45ft. : 1988,1999,2012. Certainly doesn’t sound frequent to me.
