re: Why are you folks' kids so dumb? - Captain Crackysack
"because when we're going from such strict measures of not going outside and wearing masks and everything to going to thousands of people in one place, it's just not logical to me."
I couldnt agree more. Maybe public officials should decide whether masks help or not and then they can ...

re: Are O&G stocks about to rise significantly? - Captain Crackysack
I think oil prices will rebound well back into the 40s possibly 50s by the end of the year. Crude stockpiles are incredibly high right now but with a large portion of wells shut in, we will burn through that stockpile pretty quick. When they reopen these wells, there will be several issues ...

re: Hertz Bankruptcy? - Captain Crackysack
No I dont think itll be back to normal for some time. But its impossible to determine what business would have been lost just from people being more cautious and what business was lost due to government restrictions. I mean I don't have a solution for it, just pointing out how fricked it is ...

re: Hertz Bankruptcy? - Captain Crackysack
So you think Hertz would have failed if the government didnt make everyone stop traveling? I'm not assuming they had the strongest balance sheet in the world prior to this, but I definitely dont remember hearing about them being on the verge of bankruptcy. ...

re: Winston contract details - Captain Crackysack
Incentives are classified into two categories: 1) likely to be earned and 2) unlikely to be earned. Category 1 counts in the current year and category 2 would count next season if he actually earns them. Since these are mainly playing time incentives I would guess they will not be counted this year ...

Why are people fundraising for covid relief? - Captain Crackysack
Just saw that the nfl draft-a-thon raised $100 million for covid relief efforts. Have these suckers not heard that the government is just running the printing presses to pay for this boondoggle? Let's be honest, that money will go to absolutely nothing meaningful ...

re: Oil play - Tankers - $NAT - Captain Crackysack
Just remember that oil storage is a temporary problem. Once storage concerns are alleviated, the current economics of the oil industry is gonna drive down demand for liquid bulk transport, which is the bread and butter of tanker operators ...

re: Are the Saudis really sending 50M barrels of 'oil bomb' to the US? - Captain Crackysack
That oil was sent over here by SA without a buyer. That's about a 45 day journey to the gulf coast. Even during normal times, that oil would be bought and sold ten times before it even made it over here. Shit, I've seen oil and refined product bought and sold 3 times on a 2.5 day voyage ...
