These FF workers never considered that this their hero pass it his minimum wage would put them out of a job.
Are you sure about that?
would you turn down a 25% pay raise right now if it meant 2% of your coworkers would lose their job?

I won’t be single out newsome on doing things like this, or even the left. I think it speaks volumes about the level of trash that we as the average American are bombarded with though, and just kind of tolerate because we are getting it from 12 directions

They'll keep the same price but it'll be popcorn chicken.

None of these jobs are worth it. They’re not worth $9/hr let alone 20 or 30.
They lower your wage the lower quality of work you will receive. That’s Economics 101.

There you go.
Cost of living is going up all around these FF workers so how dare they ask for more compensation? People have to have money to live and it can either come from companies who take in billions yearly or it can come from the government printing press. Your choice.
I do wish that there was some exemption but still a minimum for small businesses. But small businesses aren’t cutting checks by the millions to Congress so no one cares about them.

Not even kidding, not sure what that means. Be funnier. Be more clever in mocking me and I'll actually respect you for it.

You are too stupid to realize that 10,000 is only the beginning. More will be out of work as places close or adopt more automation. $20 minimum wage forces both of those to occur much faster than they naturally would.

Pretty simplistic view you got there, pal.

Remember on the first day this was a thing and lefties tried to post menu prices? See the prices didn’t go up that much!
Like any sound business would shock their customer on price in one fricking day or that everyone would be fired day 1.

this is so odd...usually things go great when government meddles in private buisness

Oh no! Less people working shitty jobs and the ones that remain make more money?
That's awful!

I’m assuming those currently working those shitty jobs were doing so because they had to..kinda sucks for them.

is this a blunder for fast food workers? I'd definitely agree to a 25% pay raise if it meant 2% of my coworkers would lose their jobs.
When you put a fry cook on the same salary as say a nurse or teacher starting off, you will have a shite load more problems than just Big Macs going up in price.

And what part of it is incorrect? People need to eat, people need to shelter, people need transportation. That all costs money. Someone has to pay for it.
If it’s not being paid with wages earned or from the Treasury then it’s coming from charities or churches. The most effective/helpful of each of those are the smallest ones.

Nailed it.
Cafeteria workers in California have been quitting at higher rates this year.
The trickle down effect has hit numerous public sector jobs that are going to impact hundreds of factors of Californians daily living.

Sucks for the 2% that got laid off. Guess they'll have to go work at dollar general or somewhere and make less than the fast food workers.
If you are in the bottom 2% of fast food workers I don't want you handling anyone's food anyway, go work a cash register.
