What do you believe is an acceptable wage for them?
Whatever they and the employer agree to for the particular position.

its almost as if creating a false price floor has consequences in a free market system..
Which is why the left demonizes the free market and fully embraces strict dictatorial communism.

Only places like In N Out, Shake Shack, and Canes can withstand this - it crushes less successful chains like Arby's, Subway, and Rubios
Huh? Isn’t subway one of the biggest fast food chains? Are you suggesting In N Out is larger and more successful than subway?

Am I the only person who almost never eats fast food? I like the taste, but I just don’t want to gain weight. Yes they have healthy options, but I don’t really want that if I go there, lol

Its amazing how short-sighted some people are.
Can't wait for these loons to start braying for $30/hr. It's coming and will probably hapoen after the medical workers get their demand for more money and less work met.

Larger? No. More successful? Yes.
INO is more successful because they are private owned and can maintain the standards that their owner desires. Same reason why Chick-fil-A is more successful than Popeye’s/KFC.

The rule impacts restaurants that have at least 60 locations nationwide, except those that make and sell their own bread.

This part doesn’t bother me.
This part is obvious favoritism:

Yeah Gavin isn't dumb. The idea isn't to fix anything, it's to destroy private enterprise.
Leftists will never stop until we are all serfs.
What's scary is Gavin is the Dems choice for the presidency. That's why they don't want Biden running and that's who they will trot out 4 years from now.

INO is more successful because they are private owned
Aren’t they both privately owned? How do you know which is more successful?

Their only solution will be the creation of a guaranteed living wage. Book it.

INO is privately owned for sure. I watched a YouTube about them - I miss eating there back when I was stationed at MCAS El Toro - and they have one of the highest rankings among their employers. It is pretty impressive how well they take care of their employees. Damn, now I want a Double Double and fries.

Good call.
Subway is actually owned by a Private Equity firm (explains a lot). They have approximately 37k locations worldwide and drew $16 billion in revenue.
INO has been owned by the same family since its inception. They have 400 locations and drew nearly $2 billion in revenue.
Subway has over 90 times the number of locations and only makes 8 times the revenue.
You tell me who is more successful.

Isn’t this thread about government mandated pay? They didn’t agree on anything.

My 16 yo just got his first W2 job at Dairy Queen and is making $13 per hour. Min wage in AL is $7.25.
Gotta admit $13 seems pretty high and they still can’t find enough people.

More successful or more efficient?
Posted on 6/6/24 at 6:49 pm to stout
Leftists often think they can force the market, but it usually translates into more for some and nothing for others.
