I’ve never been to California but it’s on my bucket list of places to visit especially Yosemite.

On a side note...at the bottom of Lake Tahoe lies the body of Fredo Corleone

They don't, but California doesn't have the wetlands landscape either, nor tropical islands. A cypress swamp or brackish delta at high tide is beautiful to me, as is a warm water reef in the keys. To each his own. It's a gorgeous state and undoubtedly the most diverse. I hope to hike a section of the PCT one day when I finish the AT

Meanwhile this is New Iberia, LA

Some places are objectively better than others. California is better than Louisiana. As soon as I am financially able, I am bolting out of here. I love LSU and the food, but there is so much natural beauty that this state is lacking. Mountains are good for the soul and for perspective.

Wow, that's gorgeous. I'm pretty sure the natural beauty cancels out the stuff about homelessness, feces, heroin needles, illegal immigration, failed schools, degrading oceans, confiscatory taxes, sky rocketing housing costs, the highest poverty rate in America, sanctuary city lawlessness, Antifa mobs, failing energy grids, high energy costs, insane government regulations, the highest income inequality in the Western world, etc. Especially Yosemite.

Sacramento River delta says hello. Great bass fishing and duck hunting.

I actually agree. It’s an incredibly beautiful state, as are most of the mountainous states

I love driving across the Atchafalaya basin. You can find beauty and squalor in any state. Even Mississippi

bullshite. Best state in the union if you are either rich enough to where taxes don’t impact you or poor enough to where you don’t pay taxes. It’s the middle that gets fricked

Very pretty, but no docks, refineries and pogie boats to spice it up.
