Speaking as someone who lived for 25 years in Louisiana, and almost as long in California: for a low cost of living state, Louisiana is actually pretty damn expensive. For being so expensive, California is an easy place to live. Never paid a dime for private schools and my taxes actually seem to accomplish things here. Last time I had my house refinanced it had very nearly tripled in value. I'm good.

You just gotta love the irony of some baw in Louisiana getting triggered by a thread like this and commenting on how shitty and what a terrible place California is because “muh Liberals”, while they sit in a trailer park somewhere in Houma.

Being middle class in the 80s and early 90s and living in California before the state's electorate jumped off the deep end into the cesspool of communism must've been absolutely awesome.
