Awesome post.

I went to Pebble Beach last summer. Even that area near Monterey and Santa Cruz was unbelievable.

Eh, I would consider myself middle class and I have no problem living here. You just need to find the right place to live/work. We found a nice house in a safe area that we could afford and are an hour away from both the beach and mountains. The only thing that aggravates me about living here is dealing with the traffic.

So beautiful

this

There are plenty of good hearted red blooded Americans spread all over this state. They just get drowned out by a few of the large population centers.

California easily has more natural beautiful landscapes than all places east of the Rocky mountains combined have.
Just ignore the wackos and go look for yourself before you knock it.

Further, I'd be willing to bet that there are many, not just several, places in California that you've never heard of that are easily more scenic than all places East of the Mississippi River combined.
Truly a beautiful state

bullshite. Best state in the union if you are either rich enough to where taxes don’t impact you or poor enough to where you don’t pay taxes. It’s the middle that gets fricked

California has the nation’s widest gap between middle and upper incomes—72 percent, compared with the U.S. average of 57 percent—and its highest poverty rate. Roughly half of America’s homeless live in Los Angeles or San Francisco, which now has the highest property crime rate among major cities.

Since 2008,the state has created five times the number of low-paying, as opposed to high-wage, jobs. A remarkable 86 percent of new jobs paid below the median income, while almost half paid under $40,000. Moreover, California, including Silicon Valley, created fewer high-paying positions than the national average, and far less than prime competitors like Salt Lake City, Seattle, or Austin. Los Angeles County features the lowest pay of any of the nation’s 50 largest counties.

But I'm not sure that matters because best natural beauty in USA!

So beautiful

The piles of garbage that encroach on the streets of Oakland are pretty impressive.

Always found it interesting that they'll ban straws but ignore the 8 foot tall pile of rotting garbage amassed by the bums they coddle and adore.

Again, also a massive state though. You're going to get a lot of diversity in an area that size, just as you would if Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee were one state

Yeah, the diversity would be there, but Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee just aren't the same as California.

Yup that place is amazing.

Also some parts of the North Skope are technically considered deserts because of low precipitation throughout the year.

Its terrible
I escaped downtown only for the city to get those line bikes and now scooters so they are mobile cruising to my area

Also the city had to get rid of those bikes because when you pulled up the app they were all in Tijuana sold for scrape metal

They just take the tram from Dtown to San Ysidro with there Obama phones

Cali is beautiful. It's a shame it's been infected by the disease known as liberalism. Some of the homeless camps are the largest I've seen in this country.

I remember when I lived on the border, there were lines around the block during Obama phone giveaway day. I think more Mexican nationals had those phones than American citizens

Utah is better!

I know I'll get downvoted to hell and back but I love that state.

At a local gumbo cook-off this weekend and there were tourists from all over. The conversation with the ones from California went like this:

me: "Where ya from?"
them: "California.... Northern Califonia"
