Damn. I think that’s a little too much yelling by tPear
So well said.

As you learn how to heal the body, remember that every patient also has a spirit. You have to treat both aspect of the patient.

A doc I met a few years ago said to never lose your humanity in the process, and treat the person not just the disease or diagnosis.
2026 is going to be a big year, for better or worse, for me as I start residency. I have to choose how much I want to stay in Nola, or if I should move to greener pastures elsewhere (and no, not BR..lol)

My social life improved drastically in medical school, and to be real, was the reset on my life I needed in many ways.

Unfortunately, the looming graduation and also the different nature of the last 2 years made school feel more like work. In that process, my social life changed from seeing my friends from daily to now “whenever we can,” but I had to learn quality over quantity in these relationships. It was not easy.

My goals this year are to find more hobbies and get lost in something outside of medicine, such as a video game, TV series, or good book. Also need to get back to the gym. Studying, rotations, rinse and repeat makes it easy to lose that habit.

Best of luck to you. 41 isn’t too old to find someone.
We truly can’t go 3 hours into a new year without you know who thinking this is glory to their god

We fired O who is incredibly popular

You say this but all I remember in 2020 is Coach O went on Fox News on several occasions and then he was no longer liked by the media and some players
In the old days that didn’t use to win you the division and a playoff spot?
They went from 11-0 to 2012 Johnny manziel record and no SEC or national championship. And no bowl win either and no heisman
Not A&M’s best season when you lose to arch rival (and Arch Manning) and don’t score a Td at home
Georgia is a blue state or even a swing state today bc of dominion machines
Alabama, in classic fashion, lost in regular season when it didn’t matter, got another chance, and then beat you in the postseason when it does. Oklahoma got the 2011 LSU welcome from Alabama

This could be the win that makes Alabama great again. Alabama looked so natural in the postseason, and Deboer maybe finally got the first win to fire up the dynasty engine in Tuscaloosa
we are required to play a non-conf P4 every year
Lane doesn’t need to risk being around other things that may be popping near that game

Why can’t Lane go on to Gameday?

He was smart not to. After seeing how they’ve acted, Lane would get the Trump treatment, with Rece being a CNN anchor.

“Coach Lane, is it true you were vindictive and threatened your staff if they didn’t join you on that plane, they would not be allowed to work with you at LSU?”

I know it would’ve been scorching. Lane is better off letting this cool off

But why even do that dumb charade with ND above Miami last few weeks? Just respect head to head like they should do in equivalent situations
All the committee tells me is just play a crap schedule and go 11-1 or 12-0 and you’ll always get in
Can someone still please explain why notre dame should be in over Miami?
They lost head to head. All else being equal, that needs to matter

I don’t like James Madison in there. Their schedule was atrocious. I’d put Duke. Better win at end. Beating Troy is

Tulane at least manned up and played two teams with a pulse: Northwestern and ole miss.
And if he goes NFL but wins a title or two in 5 years on the way out, he’s earned it without any criticism. He would have accomplished his goal here and cemented his own legacy
That’s a good coach right there. Props to them
Sounds like we’re keeping everything except that cancer that was our head coach

To think BK was king of the world year 1 to now being the most hated coach in Baton Rouge
Lane took care of Baker rather than get some more airtime. Some may say he loves attention, but his priorities were completely on point so far.

They’re better fans than me. I don’t know if I’d make that trip, but I still love the ladies
I used to really enjoy watching TJLSUDad, but he unfortunately got a a very severe case of TDS, became filled with hate for half of the country, and then he deservedly lost his following. He doesn't care though, because that's how bad his TDS is.

He should have kept politics out of his LSU videos, or even better, maybe to himself.
