The people opposing SG will blame SG for BR’s decline when reality is the current Mayor and city leaders let things slide and worried more about race than anything else.

Let's go to the meeting and say just that. See how it goes over.

Please refer to it by its proper name. The St George Country Club.

Exactly what should they show up and do?

Probably this

allow members of the community to discuss immediate solutions for this summer and going forward

Or just vent your frustrations and let them know what a terrible job they are doing. Isn't that the point of these meetings.

Good question, is there an agenda? An open mic? Who is going to speak? Etc.?

I’m predicting it’s just a big photo op, but I hope I’m wrong.

I'm a white male that lives in South Baton Rouge, if I go to their little meeting and do that, I will most definitely be called a racist.

NO...the reason the mayor is having this meeting is for optics. She doesn't want to here the truth.

Just asking two questions.

Will there be s’mores, a camp fire, and we all hold hands singing kumbaya?

How much is a consultant being paid to setup this meeting?

Are the biggest instigators, iars, and horrible leaders.

Always blaming others, always trying to extort cash, and just a joke to even be considered Leaders of anything more than a can of play doh

Much truth will be spoken at this meeting. They will bare all and fully address the actual problems.

Or not.

As the older generation use to say...until you are ready to "talk turkey" or "call a spade a spade", the problem will never go away!

Yea, some catch phrase will do the trick.

Wondering if Gravy will be there?

I'm sure the perpetrators of this gun violence will all be in attendance

ETA: where are they ordering the catering for this meeting?

Five shootings in four days with several casualties.

Baton Rouge must have read this topic and decided to step up its game.

If so then I'm sure they'll leave their guns home because everyone knows that "Gun-free Zone" signs stop that shite.

Now she’s got a mess on her hands and she’s trying symbolism over substance to placate an alarmed citizenry.

And for the portion of the citizens she gets her votes from, it will work. Until the next busy week. Rinse and repeat.

Really? Are they going to resign? Or perhaps stop accidentally leaking the names of confidential BRAVE informants to the media?
