The only way to curb violence like this is beef up the police force. She's done the exact opposite.
The BRAVE program was working, so Mayor-President Broome dismantled it.

All they do is have meetings to plan action groups and task forces to have meetings.
In Libtard world words speak louder than action.

NO...the reason the mayor is having this meeting is for optics. She doesn't want to here the truth.
IOW, a circle jerk for members of "the community."

Because people involved in these crimes usually have strong faith.

Days like this make me want to run against her so badly.

BR can only hope we have a legit opponent for her in 2020, and the blacks get lazy and not vote...only way to take back the city...someone tough on crime, badass police chief

These headlines are terrible for LSU. I know this is not happening on Campus, but when you are considering LSU as an out of state option it will make you look elsewhere.

This has been going on for decades. Murders are actually down so far compared to the past few years.

They'll be asking for the public's help.
If you see a gun violence about to commit a crime, do your part and contact the nearest law enforcement agency.

I know that a lot of people on this site only care about LSU sports, but eventually the situation will begin to effect the university.

Because instead of actually doing things to crack down on the recent violence, she decides to host a meeting.
This is par for the course with this administration.

I wonder what kind of plan she has that can only be implemented with more taxes??

Topics they will bring up that have little to do with anything about shootings:
A. Food deserts
B. Lack of community transparency
C. Failing school system
D. Gravy running for that Senate seat

Yeah, your right.....Nothing to see here:
"String of 5 shootings sends 13 to hospital in violent Baton Rouge weekend; police still searching for suspects"
I am sure this will be on the next LSU recruiting commercial

Broome said several times that she had a different vision for BR than the former chief of police. I guess this is it.

Did they not get the people shooting in the club?

Not saying it's a good look just that this is nothing new. BR has had a high murder rate since the 1990s. This is essentially the status quo of the past 30 years.
