I’m genuinely not sure if I can. It was a disjointed cluster revolving around loose women shacking up with men and not giving a shite about their sons

Eta: And I’m here live, so it’s not like I can rewind to refresh my memory. Kind of caught me off guard

Can’t hear that live. I wonder if the feed has more mics live.

What we need is to start a conversation about more programs.

The mayor needs to form a committee to explore possible solutions.

More people in the community need to get involved.

I’m not listening. That’s what ever big city mayor says to every typical inner city problem.

I assume these outreach groups and social programs get money from the city.

But the mayor can’t find the money to pay for a small match on drainage project that we’ve known we needed for 3 years.

You know what sure as shite drives up crime? A giant flood. Displaced people. Stresses people. Substance abuse sky rockets.

I listened to most of the meeting on the stream. There was a lot less kicking the can down the road from the people in attendance than I expected. They brought up some hard truths about father-less households, illiteracy, etc. I respect the hell out of the folks that showed up and got up an spoke. They really seem to want a change, but how do you reach the ones that don't?

More programs? Right now we don’t have a fully staffed PD, trash and garbage picked up on time, or money for drainage

Perhaps, but there’s only one person who can hire s competent police chief, only one person who can lead and invigorate the police, and fully fund a comprehensive crime prevention drive; and that’s our mayor who wants to pass the buck to others.
