Well, baws. I was trying to be the OT's mole in the meeting but the place is packed. Couldn't even find a place to park.

I think the Twitter flyer shows us all we need to know. Nothing about increasing police presence. Grocery stores, blight, traffic issues, community policing etc. It's like it came from the SJW handbook and won't do a damn thing.

I fully expect there to be some kind of community get together planned somewhere in NBR that the BRPD will host where the citizens can come out and meet and greet police officers. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be served and there will be some kind of inflatable jump house for the kids.

All these things would be improved without government intervention if crime decreased.

I think I got the last parking spot in the house right at 6pm

Yep. It's not like a business that was making a decent profit would pull out of NBR just because of it.
Most of the blight would be handled/reported by the local residents if anyone gave a shite.
And NBR has less traffic issues than most areas of the city because it's mostly laid out in a grid.
It's all feel good crap that panders to her voter base.

Maybe we'll have more referee assaults now. And what productive citizen is out at midnight playing basketball? Maybe they should consider moving it to 7pm

These "outreach groups" are more layered than an onion. There are 20 programs and groups within every program and group. This is mental masturbation with taxpayer money.

The problem is the way money gets spent. The small groups doing really great work don’t get shite for support. Yet, big groups with massive administrative overheads print money.

Just listening to these people talk, it sounds like every organization they employ splinters into 3 different subgroups that then split again. I think these people justify their positions by creating new subgroups, then ask for more money.

The most effective way to combat kids growing up into criminals is 2 parent households. I'm sure that will come up this evening?

Ok, whoever just missed the first “question” from the audience missed out on something glorious

It was pretty funny.
This old white dude is annoying this sassy queen in the second row with her tits hanging out.

In my experience, it’s your normal social power dynamic crap. People consolidate power, other people chafe under that, splinter off to do things a different way. In short, I think you are giving them way too much credit for complex, long term thought
