He will be ok, but I’m sure they will get a check.

I don’t see how a sip of alcohol leads to going to the hospital

If true that's because the little alky knew it had booze in it and got excited.

I remember my first beer.

How does a strawberry daiquiri send a 12 year old to the hospital? It’s messed up that it happened, but a trip to the hospital? Come on now.
And you just know it wasn't one of those 32 or more ounce ones people get at the daiquiri shop drive-thru.
Simply put, the kids a pussy and the parents are even more so for the hospital visit. Likely the whole drive to the ER with thoughts of "Ka-ching, Ka-ching" running through their heads.

Most likely the parents realized it was alcohol and they brought the kid to the hospital looking for a payout. Outback was definitely in the wrong but a single daiquiri shouldn’t put a 12 year in the hospital. A gift card to pay for a couple trips back should have been ok. Say $300 to $500. I bet they never even left a tip.

Pretty sure I'd been drunk a couple times by 12. Grandpa knew why his beer was open after I fetched it for him lol.
Anyways, what family allows a 12 yr old to order a "strawberry daiquiri" That's trashy already.
Heart started racing? Ok...
And no one in the family knew what alcohol was? Come on...

Momma told her baby to drink the entire daiquiri after tasting the alcohol so they could get a payout.
She should be arrested for child abuse and endangerment…not given money.

No rules just right

He was 12. Not 2. A daiquiri ain’t gonna get him.
Secondly, I doubt a hospital gives Tylenol to a dude their fir alcohol related illness

There is zero chance anything was wrong with the kid. They just want $$. Hell, there probably is more alcohol in a dose of NyQuil than there is in a daiquiri.

Like others have said, no parents who lets their kid order that type of drink are unfamiliar with alcohol.

I concur. Good work, doctor.
I am surprised they gave the kid Tylenol, not that I would think it would blow out his liver but it would seem increased GI discomfort would be very possible.

was given Tylenol and sent home, according to WJBK. The next day, Mekyle had a hangover, he said.
After a couple sips of a daiquiri?
And how did they know what a hangover felt like if nobody in family drank?
