The Gulf of America has a history of winter storms.

I'd say more of a banjo minnow since the baw is genetically programmed to bite

Well as I heard it several years ago, they stopped calling it global warming and changed it to climate change. It is characterized by extreme weather events of all types. Flooding, droughts, heat waves, violent storms etc. Maybe record snowfall is another?

Scientist here. This type of event is fairly rare, but expected during a winter La Nina, which is completely natural, and has been going on for much longer than humans have existed.

Flame away but I think you'd have to be blind not to recognize that the climate is changing over the last few decades. Growing up in Chicago we had feet of snow every year and now they only get a decent storm once or twice a winter and it usually melts quickly. That doesn't mean humans are causing it or that Al Gore can stop it by raising taxes or whatever. But as someone who lives in South Florida, there's no doubt that the climate is changing year to year. And overall it doesn't seem like a good thing. The best explanation I've heard is that we're still coming out of the last ice age and it's going to continue to get warmer overall until we swing back towards another ice age.

You are probably depressed and are psychologically projecting. Get out and get some sunshine. You not only need more activity you need more vitamin D and don't forget the vitamin K2 that goes along with D.

The Civil War made it snow a lot, decades after it ended?

Brilliant reply. Exactly what I'd expect here. Keep your head up your arse. There is data supporting what I said. Once again, I clearly stated that I don't necessarily think human action is causing it or that we can do anything to stop it. But if you can't recognize things like the fact that Ft. Myers got hit twice in three years by hurricanes that we haven't seen before and that it's not normal, then I don't know what to tell you. I guess I'm a liberal or whatever.
